I hate to admit it but I haven't bought this because the PC version has terrible DRM (Denuvo).

Now I wish I had next gen console. Game looks really, really good :(

I haven't got to Titanic Monarch yet. I made it to Mirage Saloon, before erasing all traces. I've been trying to maximise chaos emeralds and blue spheres on the replay levels, but I'm not doing too great. I haven't reset a game mid level this many times since the N64 Goldeneye speed runs :shifty:

Great game! Totally dig the MegaDrive'ish colour palette. Hopefully it will hit retail in physical form soon.

Finally cleared Titanic Monarch.
[+] Spoiler...
Wasn't surprised to find it was the final level.
Greatest Sonic game? Quite possibly. Can't help wondering how it would've been reviewed back in the olden days. I find the levels a little more frantic and claustrophobic than those in the original games - the Speedy boots and Invincibility powerups are all but pointless for example. Feels like there's fewer set-pieces too.

TLB next cools.

I loved it. A lot of recycled levels but lots of nice ideas and touches added to them. I'd like to see more new levels in SM2 but they should still add the revamps. It's quite an achievement for a handful of indie devs and sonic modders. They get exactly what made the games great. I hope this has been a big success for Sega and they put up the resources for a trilogy. My only minor gripe was the wobbly difficulty curve. I'd take 3 attempts to do one zone and then one life the next. The game is easier than the MD games. The only real challenge is those bloody blue spheres.

Cheers for the heads up, didn't realise you could complete, then level select to grab the emeralds and re-complete the game.
I try and read as little as possible to avoid spoilers. Could've saved myself a couple of hours of re-tries.
That being said, thoroughly enjoyed every part of the game, retires and all! Time to have some more fun caning the game with Super Sonic :awe:

There are more levels than emeralds so you can get them all by re-playing any zone. Some you can reach in under 30 seconds.

Exclusively? No options for any 4:3 stuff at all? If so dammit, need to get a Viewlix :D

I got a bit mixed up (beer fuddled) with my previous comment. I meant hooking it up to it up to my 32" widescreen trinitron, rather than fullscreen cab. :shifty:

I've been playing a load of Sonic 1/2/3/Knuckles recently on my cab though, and I think it is thoroughly suited for an arcade stick/cab setup 8-)

Game plays with a stick just fine. Bitd I use to play sonic one with the official Megadrive joystick.
