Pointless, yes. But I sort of like it in a very sad geeky sort of way.

So it didn't sell then. Perhaps he should stuff it full of bog roll and sell it as a tissue dispenser.

Why not? There's probably a lot of busted PS1s floating about, they were pretty unreliable. I went through 3 and I don't know anyone who owned one that didn't have to play it upside down or on its side just to read the disks. May as well make something useful out of them.

I took mine back to the shop on month 11 for a new one :)

My mate walked into his 360 whilst the tray was open & snapped it clean off. He called MS & they sent a courier & new 360 to him. The big companies aint all bad.

Yeah, nintendo replaced my boy's DS at no cost to me when he dropped it and snapped the top screen off. I was pretty impressed, the guy on the phone said he'd just put it down to a faulty hinge (which was cracking).

The big companies are pretty good like that in my experience too. :)

They come in for some flak, but as I say the big companies can be good to their customers.

MS gave existing owners a free controler & game back in the Xbox days after a price cut.

My experience with MS (for other people) has been awful - one of the worst console companies to deal with.

Nintendo (actually codestorm) are about the best I've dealt with. Sony were so-so about ten years ago, no idea about now.
