Re: Xbox Live Arcade
It was playable at a event and is known to be programmed by M2, but no release details were ever announced - not even the platform. However Cave haven't denied it will be on XBLA, but they are basing their decision on Guwange's sales and had no decision when interview by Retro Gamer. I'd guess that interview was done about 4-6 weeks ago so a lack of announcement at the Feb matsuri suggests it's not coming at least until Nin2 is out, and they've stated since then they've no more 360 titles to announce
But hey, you could always buy my pcb

That G-Rev shooter is out now, as well as the new Rush 'n' Attack. There's tons of stuff on sale too.

Re: Xbox Live Arcade
Is Strania an arcade port or an original XBLA game? I'd not heard of it before last week. The music's fab and it has G-Rev's usual large explosions but I just not a big fan of melee weapons in shooters.

original
Re: Xbox Live Arcade
Simultaneous Nesica arcade release.
Love it. Wasn't too sure at first what with the short levels and millions of weapon pick ups but the scoring system is relatively straight forward and the key seems to be in picking the right weapons at the right time and making the most of the overdrive meter thing. It's really addictive and continues off by default
Graphics are quite basic but there is a lot of scaling going on and epic mecha wars in the background. Probably running on the SNRD engine. The music is fantastic.

I hope this is a sign of things to come, but who is going to pay 100 yen to play this vs 800MS points?SuperPang wrote:Simultaneous Nesica arcade release.
Now give me under defeat on live

Re: Xbox Live Arcade
I think your average Japanese arcade gamer would probably do both. People still like to set scores in the arcade after practicing with the ports.markedkiller78 wrote: I hope this is a sign of things to come, but who is going to pay 100 yen to play this vs 800MS points?

Re: Xbox Live Arcade
I think the xbla release is more for the benefit of the likes of us silly foreigners. Pang's post is the first time I heard it was an arcade title, and it stands to reason that they'll probably have more interest in the arcade version in Japan than the xbla releasemarkedkiller78 wrote:I hope this is a sign of things to come, but who is going to pay 100 yen to play this vs 800MS points?SuperPang wrote:Simultaneous Nesica arcade release.

Re: Xbox Live Arcade
Isn't that the same game they announced as pure arcade released months ago, when they also location tested it in an arcade?
Re: Xbox Live Arcade
Yes.
Afterburner Climax is 400 MSP this week. You'd be mad not to at that price.
