Wiring up a Sanwa PFX to a Blast City

Post by thchardcore » April 10th, 2009, 6:15 pm

Hi,

My unit is one of those units with just the the VGA input, but I could add the the RGB connector as there is a spot for a plug on it. Not sure what type of connector I need, anyone know the name and type and where to buy in the US?

Also for power, there is a 5 pin plug, but there is no data on the pinout or the plug type. Any idea on this as well.

Also, the bezel will have gaps. What type of foam will look the best (think thick) and not like I chopped the inside of a camera case and glued it.

Thanks

well, i went to radio shack and picked up a generic pc power cable. I cut off the end and crimped molex pins onto the wires. then i just matched them up by color. iirc it was red white and green.

Alec,

Thanks man, but aren't PC power cables only 4 pin?

I assume you got your wired up, how did you handle the low res rgb input?

I can take one tomorrow. The problem is, there is a connector for it (6 pin header) that I need to find first. :(

Yes! Since these are never seen in the US, I am only familiar with the 6 pin japanese nanao type.

My hero once more! Thanks again. Anxious to test mine to make sure it isn't screwed up like Alec's and your's were.

Thanks.

Hey guys, let me see if I got this right.

I recently put a Sanwa 29PFX-A tri-sync in my Blast City. Now, if I want to feed it a 15kHz signal, I have to use the 6 pin header that is behind the VGA/Power port?

If so, does anyone have the pinout? My chassis does not have any markings and I did not get a manual with the monitor:(

Also, not to derail this tread, but does anyone know if I can get away with removing the triangle shaped control panel support. I don't want the CP to crack or break, but that thing really gets in the way, and the cab is only being used in my home.
