Astro/Blast City monitor swap

Post by Pat70 » April 8th, 2009, 11:04 am

I have an Astro city that looks like utter crap (drilled holes in the side of the cabinet, rust, paint and stickers gone) but the monitor is in good condition. I also have a Blast city that looks perfect but the burn on this monitor is unbearable.
I am thinking to swap the astro monitor together with the astro bezel into the Blast.
would it fit?

nope, not at all.
The monitor will fit, but not the marquee. You cannot replace only the tube, i'm affraid.

I moved an Astro monitor into a Blast City with the original BC "monitor surround" unmodified. It fits almost perfect. The trick is to back mount the tube's frame and offset it as far as possible with 4 X washers so you get maximum depth. MP for further details if interested.
15khz upscaled is cheating
