Building/Fitting a monitor rotation system (AWSD)

Post by caiolexis » April 7th, 2009, 12:04 pm

Hi all,

I am writing today because I want to convert my AWSD Cabinet into a sort of Egret II Cabinet.

The idea is to fit in a Rotation system from the Egret II cab into my AWSD cab.
Has anyone of you got experience with such a project?

Perhaps it is possible to build my own rotation system if the Egret II rotation system cannotbe fitted in or is too expensive.
What do you think?

Thanks in advance for your insights!

Fitting the rotation mech from an Egret II into an AWSD is not possible, at least not with the factory default monitor which is much too wide on the back.
Once I start I cannot stop myself

I see, so I would have to build it myself.

Well, sounds like a nice project! what can I say, I just really like the look of the AW Cab.

You would be better off getting an Egret-II and tri-sync the tube.
2 * Vewlix Diamond Blacks,2 * Vewlix-F, 1 * Sega Rally 3, 1 * Video Pinball, 1 * DinoKing (JAMMA Converted).

Well yes, that makes sense too, I could just re-sell my AWSD.

how hard is it to tri-sync the Egret II tube?

Real shame there's not an easy rotate mech in the AWSD, looked at tateing mine a few times but its way too risky imo with no monitor frame, at least you can bash the naomis about a bit in their frames
