Well fuses are there for protection, so the worst thing that can happen is it blows again. Good luck with it, I hope it's an easy fix. As noted by my endeavors, check those cap values with a magnifying glass. I missed the difference between .47 and 4.7 or 47, whatever it was, at least 5 times. :wtf:

Yes the capkit did not include the 0.47uF so I left the original on the chassis

Update

i actually found the source of the fault.
when i recapped the chassis, i noticed that some of the legs of the caps that i cut off, got stuck at the bottom and center of the chassis. there seems to be something that is magnetic at that area.
i picked those legs off (at least i thought so) and reinstalled it in the aero cab.

but when i took the chassis out again, i noticed this on the bottom side (between EY27 and EY12)

Took that pin away and now the monitor works again

So notice to self, next time be sure there are no loose capacitor legs stuck to the chassis :)
