Brand new Taito Diamond Black

Post by g60hot » December 16th, 2019, 2:14 pm

Hi all,

So I have a New Diamond Black become available for sale due to a recent preorder cancellation.

As stated condition is brand new in factory packaging.

Cabs are one player panel and come without io board.

I do have both fast io and jvs boards available if you need them which would be extra.

Price for the cab is £2900 and literally is the last chance to get hold of one.

Cab will be available to collect from Wednesday.

Cheers all

Hey G60hot,

Grail Cab, well Vewlix Orange so close enough 😀 Was gutted to miss the OG preorders.

I've a New Taito 2P panel and new Taito JVS IO onroute so they are just begging for this Cab.

These have jvs power too ya, just missing the IO.

Offer the asking pending comms and MP sent offline.

Thanks a mil, Kev

No the black come with a loom ,12V psu & audio amp.

You'll need either fastio + rfid reader and a type 217A type X2 or X3 or the jvs pcb and a normal type X2.

To run naomi etc you'll need to buy an additional psu to power it.

Thanks Penrhos and Jan,

It's a shame they dont have little more in them for the cost, they nearly a shell. But I have Vewlix L for Naomi and JVS going forward. Have spare fast IO now too to use too.

The main differences I see is Vewlix DB will have the Panasonic 1080p display with no rear screen fans and its spanking new and smell free. The L is loud!

Jan can always source Orange parts, it's a proper looker.
Least see if its still available. Bread and water for xmas dinner and sleeping in the dog house if this is available 🎄

Totally OT now, but out of interest, are the new screens LED backlit?

That game touched down Zak, thank you again. Dude is thrilled!

Re: cabinet noise. if the Dbs have the same fan as the Ls/F/Cs, it's a relatively easy swap out. I did the rear fan, all the X2 fans, the monitor fans in my C and it cut the noise down significantly. Might be worth it to grab one of those rear exhaust fans for the DBs?

My pleasure G! ;)

I'm not too sure about the fans being the same. Jan can probably confirm that.

It definitely cools the whole cab as it is though!

I saw this about 20 minutes after you posted it and did briefly consider throwing caution to the wind and sending a MP, but probably a good thing I didn't as I joked about it with my partner last night, and got a stern "I would've been quite angry" response at the idea ;) Oh well...

You can keep your beers cool in the DB. It's freezing when it's on. Noise wise, unless there's such thing as a noiseless fan, I doubt it would make much difference changing fans on DB.

Just wondering, is there any demand for 2 player reproduction control panel looms? I was thinking of making some replicas exact, right down to the stamped lettering on the connectors. I do not expect it to look 1:1 identical to the Taito looms but it will be pretty close as I do not have one to compare but I do have a 1p loom that came with the DB so I can use that to guess what a 2p loom look like. If any one has a clear pic of an original that would definitely help. Cost-wise, I was estimating about £40 each posted UK if I can make 10. Mainly because I have to source the right rolls of individual colored white/x wires for each button. If you have a brook controller I can add additional wires to it to connect it to the brook universal fighting board if you like so you won't have to keep disconnecting the harness to use the Brook. I will make a new thread if I get enough interest.

FYI japan-arcade sells them on ebay for 65 Euros. I got one and the quality seems pretty good.

I just got a full set this morning delivered from Japan-Arcade today, Remi is based in Paris and even has his own shop there now too, really nice guy.
I got full 2P Loom and extra buttons looms for Brook and Power Cables too, so I can switch between homemade LED Marquee of JVS or Fast IO. Happy out as always.

Booked the collection for The Vewlix Diamond today via Transland, nice cheap process to ship Pallet Ireland -UK - Europe.
2 Weeks to vewlix BD :) Now to spend the time finishing Arcade room, wiring up the brook and maybe selling a few Noamis so the room won't be too crowded! Chuffed.

Happy Christmas guys
