WTB: Capcom Impress PSU

Post by SailorLodestar » July 27th, 2019, 2:57 am

Looking for a Capcom Impress replacement PSU or whatever I need to stop the high pitch whine from the one I've got before I take it to the back and shoot it.

Also, I'm still looking for King of Dragons and Battle Circuit in English.

Does it whine regardless of what you're connecting to it? Some PSUs whine when there's not enough load put on them (a Pandora's Box, a Cave CV-1000 or a MVS MV1C are very low-power).

Looking at pics online it's a pretty beefy PSU (+5V 12A).

Can’t test now because I’ve disassembled my impress but I had a Sony ZN-2 game, Rival Schools in when I noticed the wine.

A repair guy also mentioned to me that it might be the fly back. This is a Yanton can so it makes sense to check everything.
