NAC speaker upgrades

Post by Stox58 » March 28th, 2020, 1:53 pm

Hi,

I’m going to replace my old NAC speakers with a new set off 4 ohm 30w speakers, is there any liner type material that I could put inside or on the outside off the speaker box to improve the sound?

Thanks from Luke

This is what I did (from another thread I posted in)

A Logitech z533 sub drops in perfectly right at the back behind the coin door, I then left the speakers stock and ran the outputs from the sub to them using these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283351027212

My thinking was the bass is where it struggles so the stock would deal fine with the rest, this seems to work well IMO.

I use a pi2jamma atm, so it hooks up easily by 3.5mm

I'm with @matt5cott. I have done the exact same thing with a logitech Z4 sub, which also fits behind the coin box, those stock speakers really shine with the Z4. unless your drivers are somehow damaged, I would not swap them
