Credit Recognition and Free play Mode

Post by MissNaomiAstro » March 2nd, 2019, 10:26 pm

I recently obtained a cab for my Naomi motherboard but I am having issues getting it to accept credits given.
First off I have no idea how to access the motherboard's Free Play mode and not had successful attempts at looking that up. Secondly I have this coin thing that attaches to the coin slot that's apparently from the US.
Thankfully obtained the proper currency for testing it but have not had any success getting the machine to work with it. I am still very ignorant with cab hardware and apologise for that. I would appreciate any advice offered.

My coin mech thing is the model listed below:

Enter the Test menu on the Naomi by pressing the test button on the motherboard.
Use the service button to move to Coin Assignments, then press test to access the sub-menu.
Press service to move to the Coin assignment, and use the test button to set it to #27 (Freeplay)

Use service & test buttons to exit the sub menu & the main menu.

Understood. Though I am still trying to figure out what the Test Button is.

What cab are you using? Most have test and service buttons that will do the same and are easier to access.

Remember to connect a coin counter to the naomi i/o board to get credits recognized.
