Sega I/O 838-13683 EMFs

Post by QDivision »

Hi all,

I've got one of these:
io-838-13683-93.jpg
However it broke this afternoon, looks like EMF5 has blown (in the circled area and just below connector CN6, I'm assuming they're related). Does anyone know what it is and if it's replaceable?

Thanks.

I've done some further digging and I think it's an 1806 Surface Mount Capacitor (also known as an Electro Magnetic Interference Filter hence EMF). Can anyone confirm this though? If not I'll try swapping it out.

If you get stuck think I have a few of these boards all missing the mcu dip chip.
Say hello to my little friend...
