Height comparisons against the 48cm Taito stools. Side by side with a normal 43cm Japanese arcade stool, and against an Egret 3.

Much better height for a Pony 25 too.

I don’t know where I’ve seen it but someone here uses a Mies van der Rohe Barcelona stool for one of his cabs. These look totally rad but if you go for an original you’re basically sitting on triple the value of an average candy cab.

Candy Cabinet Stools?

Post by GriswaldoBS » May 25th, 2015, 12:10 pm

Anyone know of a good source for these or anything that works in the US? I don't need official Taito stools or anything (of course I wouldn't mind if the price is right) like that but looking to get four stools for my two cabinets. Unsure what would work, I mean I'd take anything from Ikea if it's the right height and comfortable if you get my drift :). Thanks.

Rats, I guess others have the same issue I have (or maybe not). Was hoping this would have some replies. I'll keep looking!

Try the search function. If I remember correctly there are several threads about this topic.

Thanks I did do a search before hand, I always try to! I did not see that thread when searching or 'Candy Cabinet stools'. I'll work on my search skills!

Unfortunately like other similar threads most of the Ikea stuff is no longer sold from them =/.

Also thanks that thread is helpful because something like this seems perfect:

Sitting with style, love that Bauhaus stuff.

Edit: Panton era furniture fits even better for plastic cabs. ;)

I just found this stools I plan to use with my Blast, New Net and hopefully Vewlix:

They come in 45, 48 and 55cm. Will 55cm ones be too high with? Don't want to be pushing the CP from the bottom with my legs.

For reference the faux leather Taito stools are
43cm for candies and 48cm for Vewlixes.

I've used 48cm stools with candies and they're comfortable enough, but not as comfortable as 43cm imo. I've tried 43cm stools on my Vewlix and found them too low.

If you're going for the stools above then I'd recommend 45cm for candies and 48cm for a Vewlix, though if you're just going with one size then I reckon 48cm would be the best for both.

55cm would be too high for both.

Thanks! Yes I'd rather go with one size. Didn't know Vewlixes where higher than regular Candy.
