Unable to boot SSF4 on Type x2

Post by Brettster »

Having some problems booting up a Super Street fighter 4 Hdd
I have a typex2 with an elsa 979GS card the type x is a 207a
Without the dongle in I get an error 900 with the dongle in it boots up with a 901 error

I have tried another game Blazblue CS and that boots fine with its USB dongle in

Have tried a 2nd ssf4 dongle and also get the 901 error

I've seen some compatibility issues mentioned with kof X111 but not with ssf4
The X2 is in a Taito Vewlix C cab

Error 901 is missing or incorrect dongle.

Thanks Andy but I have tried two dongles now both for ssf4
Could it be anything else?

Are you trying dongles specifically for SSF4, specifically with the keys for the HDD you're trying to use them with?

You can't just mix and match the dongles; the dongles are paired with their respective HDDs and the keys ONLY decrypt the drives they are paired with.

Sounds like it is the wrong dongle/drive.
