Tatsunoko vs Capcom questions

Post by Ultron » February 7th, 2009, 1:23 pm

Am I right in thinking that for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom on the Vewlix VS cabinet, only one kit of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is required; unlike the Taito X2 game kits which require 2 of each to play 2-player?

Pretty sure that is only the case for SF4, any other game on the system should support versus play on a single hardware kit.

Why, what's so different about SF4? I'd have thought that Samurai Shodown 7 and maybe Battle Fantasia were just as demanding on the system graphically, or isn't it anything to do with graphics?

Edit: I meant SS7 not 6.

Yes, only one TvC board would be needed in the VS cabinet.

Doesn't have anything to do the graphics, only Capcom's greed.

I knew that. That's why I expected it to be different.

Thanks for the help everyone.

I do wonder though; if Capcom is being greedy about Taito X2, why not about the TvC hardware aswell?

Edit: I meant SS7 before not 6, btw.

I would imagine simply because SF4 is *essential* to any decent Japanese arcade so they can get away with charging it. I would imagine TvC is not viewed as essential by many, and as such Capcom played nice.

To be honest, from a practical standpoint, there is no reason whatsoever to have each side on a different computer, as it introduces lag (however minimal) and means that timing and synchronization have to be programmed into the game engine... pure money making is what drove them to do it :(

Tatsunoko vs Capcom - Arcade 16:9 Mode ?

Post by Jan » July 11th, 2010, 10:01 am

hi

does anyone know if the arcade version of TvC supports 16:9 ?

i changed the output to 16:9 in the menue , but it still delivers a 4:3 picture.

since the wii version has a 16:9 mode , i`m pretty sure the arcade version does too.

I'm pretty sure I've seen it in the correct aspect ratio on a Vewlix in videos

does the picture change in any way after switching from 4:3 to 16:9?
Maybe you just have to change the aspect ratio of the monitor itself. Just a guess. :?

hi !

it dosen`t change a bit when i switch to 16:9 not even a short flicker you would expect to occur.

i switched to vewlix screen to 1:1 to make the change visible in best possible way , but nothing happens.

kinda odd

Does any one have the access code that can be entered in the game options for Tatsunoko vs Capcom?
