Is there a way to erase saved scores on a Cave SH3 PCB?

Post by Moskovskaya » October 12th, 2008, 11:19 pm

I got a ESPGaluda II PCB, but I can't find a way to erase the saved scores. There is no option in the test menu and the removal of the battery did nothing.

The former owner accomplished a very good score, so at the moment it is not possible to save any of my scores :(

Is there something like a maintenance code?

It depends on which game (I forget EspII's precise menu), but on some SH-3 boards, you are looking for an option called "Initialise Ranking" or something like that.

On Mushihimesama Futari 1.5, it is in "Back Up Data" -> "2. Ranking display" -> "Data Reset" (press 1P start+button 3) - I'm not trying it out, 'cause it ain't my PCB :p

I might chuck Espgaluda II in later and have a look.

Thank you, but in ESPGaluda II there is no such option. Pressing 1P Start+Button 3 did nothing.

I think the only way is to become very good in this game :awe:

Death Smiles is another that you cant erase, but they are only saved in the test menu. Weird.

I don’t reset mine even when I can. It gives me something to aim for. I’m so close to beating GaiginPunches 10th score on MMP :) I’m still miles off the No 1 & 2 spots though.

What is the top score on your Galuda 2 out of interest?

205 Millions with Ageha. Maybe I should play with Asagi, the highest score with her is only 80 Millions, but it feels a bit arkward to play with her.

205m is a big score. Ageha is the most comonoly used (and easiest for me)

Nah, IIRC there is a "Today's" score, and an "All time" - just when you put your name in, it only shows "Today's." If you wait for the high scores to come round after the demo, you should see 'em

Mushihimesama is another with no way to re-initialise high scores :/

Cool. Just goes to show that I've not let it do a loop as I was playing it too much :)

The new owner will have my mighty (actually pretty crap) 118m to deal with :)
