It's quite a strange looking cab once you have taken away the artwork and marquee, is that monitor an LCD?

but your right , its a very odd looking cab.

i wonder which hardware the game is based one.

I thought It was a 19'' or 21'' CRT with a touch screen..

All recent cabinets are moving to LCD

yeah i played this a bit when i was in JP. quite a fun game the Cabinets look really nice as they stand in rows of 8 usually. Features a big online feature where you square off against two other people and then do the same level and then it shows you the scores at the end.

you see the big header at the top of the cabinet. Each on features one of the different girls. They had toys but I ran out of cash before I could buy one. I think they were crane game wins but then people traded them in at Gashpon swap shops! in japan :awe:

Oh, don't forget the touchscreen aspect of it. The entire menu system and special attack system is controlled via the touchscreen.

LOL how could i forget that. it was pretty neat unlocking gradius shots/options and applying the cards between rounds. I would think they will have a 1.2 planned to subserdise the whole new cabinet. Would be awesome to see a propper new parodius game for sure :awe:
