Arcade PCBs price list

Post by Gustav »

This morning I launched a new website, which consists of a retro video games price chart:

https://videogames-price.com/

I started with:
-Japanese PCBs
-Neo Geo AES games
-PC Engine games

Next I am going to work on the MegaDrive and the Super Famicom games.

Let me know your thoughts.

Your prices look a touch on the low side. Can you expand the site to show proof of all these prices?

Which prices seem low to you? I can provide proofs for every single game listed on the website. Indeed, for each game, I checked multiple sources.

Maybe we will add the sources later, but for launch we had to keep things simple.

Looks more or less in line with sold prices on Yahoo.

The thing is though Yahoo prices are not worldwide prices. 350 euros for Raiden II? 1100 euros for Big Fight? 400 euros for Midnight Resistance? 210 euros for Ninja Gaiden? (Etc)

I sold a Ninja Gaiden for 110 euros last week. I thought I got a fair price for it too.

Prices in general. I'm only after a couple of boards now and I've not seen them pop up for prices listed. Tbh, I'm probably looking in the wrong places.

Also knowing that the YHJ end price and the price to your door isn't the same skews thing a little.

I didn't read this bit first time. it looks like JP shops which sell items at much higher values are omitted.
All these data sources are factored in to determine a decent price

Well, I don't necessarily disagree with that. For instance Tops should definitely be omitted. They regularly 'sell' items that then reappear for sale at higher prices. They're just playing the market.

Here's a link to check closed auctions on Yahoo Japan:

https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/closedsear ... =game+name

Like this, for Ninja Gaiden:

https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/closedsear ... 6%E4%BC%9D

The chart is for Japanese PCBs only. I will make another chart for World PCBs.

And you are absolutely right, I did look prices on Tops Game and Game Kanaya as a reference, but I didn't really took them into account. These shops are way too pricey. Tops Game aims at selling PCBs to wealthy "gaijin" at the highest possible price. Game Kanaya mostly sells mint PCBs for very expensive prices. In most cases, I factored in the prices from Yahoo Auctions, Try Inc, Surugaya, Mak Japan, and KVC Lab (stores with decent prices).

My line of reasoning is based on the money that the seller will get for his PCB, not on the "price to your door".

It was not. There were none lately. This game has been nowhere to be found for a few years. However Surugaya buys it back for 130 000 yens, so I'd figured 160 000 yens would be a decent price. I don't know what would happen if there were one listed for auction. It could sell for 200 000 yens or maybe a lot less than that. It could go either way. Even though it is a very uncommon PCB, it does seem to be on many people's wish list.

By the way, I forgot to mention the prices are for loose japanese PCBs (not including artsets and instruction manual).

Last two akuu gyarretto on Yahoo were 300k+ (with art) and 160k yen. A kit (probably Hong Kong) was sold on Facebook for 1700 euro.

Even if there was, (330+160+200+68)/4 is the average going price of the last 4s
