New Vewlix Diamond Cabinet from Taito

Here's some info that I got from Arcade Belgium. Anyone heard about it or has any specs on those cabs. Could they just be rebranded Vewlix F or L cabs with NesicaxLive kits?

Taito will realease a new Vewlix cabinet in January 2011. Named Vewlix Diamond, it's especially designed for the NESiCA system and features an IC card reader.

Price:

- Versus kit with server: 2 Vewlix Diamond + NESiCAxLive kit + server = JPY 874 000 (€7 850).
- Versus kit without server: 2 Vewlix Diamond + kit NESiCAxLive = JPY 785 000 (€7050).
- Single cabinet with server: 1 Vewlix Diamond + server + client kit: JPY 556 000 (€4990).
- Single cabinet without server: 1 Vewlix Diamond + client kit: JPY 467 000 (€4190).


I attached the pic of the cabs. Kind of a nice price if the kits are indeed 2 rebranded Vewlix F cabs, although I still prefer the older colors

Only Vewlix colourscheme I actually like

I like it, the colourscheme makes it look like "a real" candy cabinet... it reminds me the Taito Canary

Someone mentionned they had similar specs to the Vewlix L. I would personally get the Vewlix F considering they can now be bought for around 3000$ at RiverService. The more I look at the Diamond though, the more I like it!

Not sure where you got the USD$3000 price tag from - would've snapped one up myself at that price.

There was a JPY360,000 (~USD$4000) price point mid last year which was a short term thing. Price is back at JPY498,000 unfortunately.

I think this is a good alternative to the Vewlix F, which is way too pricey for its age.

I'm going to hopefully build one of similar design (not straight copy) rather than pay such high amount. Thinking about it.. even a Chinese Knock off is expensive. It wouldn't take much to make you own. There are a lot of home office desks that are almost shaped like that. I'd convert one of those.

Though if I had the money... YES I WOULD!
