Good for him. Glad he has no regrets and he's enjoying it, but what's the difference between this 12k PCB and a £500/600 Nemesis PCB?

That’s the sort of logic that sells £1000 hdmi cables. An RGB connected Sharp CRT can’t be bad.

The Gradius board uses Konami's "Bubble System" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubble_System)

Unfortunately it's pretty volatile and therefore there aren't too many boards still working, so it's pretty rare!

Whilst there were some Gradius boards that use ROMs, they were very limited (possibly sent out to replace broken bubble system boards under warranty), so they're pretty rare!

Not sure which one this is, but that goes some way to explaining the cost.

Nemesis was released on a normal ROM board and is therefore more reliable, so less pricey.
That Bubble Hardware sounds terrible!

There have a been a few over the last 2-3 years IIRC. Always the yellow model for some reason.

And why only Cutes ? Small enough to remain in a corner of a warehouse unnoticed for 20+ years ?
I don't remember seeing any NOS 29" or 25" cabs on YJA.

Must be the size. even Hikaru had loads in storage. They were relatively cheap a few years ago too.

yes but I had to buy in 2 hand much later and more expensive :(

I had the story of a cute osaka wholesaler :penser:
who had to buy all the stock at capcom

when the terminal went out there was an accident
a terminal is falling on children who played with
capcom has subsequently added anchor points on the top of the terminal
2 hook to attach the terminals are provided with
But the damage was done
no game center wanted to buy a potentially dangerous kiosk for its customers

some years later capcom sold off all the stock at this wholesaler for a butcher of bread

it was at this period that he sold the cutes for 35.000 ¥ pieces at the end 15.000 ¥) but even that did not sell it
or very can (the one that I bought from an operator comes from this period he had to buy them because there was a street fighter turbo install in some terminal last attempt of capcom to sell the cutes the operator can buy it at this time it was like him to take the game or the monitor)

he finally sold them to a South American country (several terminal containers according to him) :palm:
