Re: You've Got Grail!?? AKA The Valuation Thread

OK found them, I have some kind of skeleton thing, that you pull on a cord and the jaw opens and shuts. I also have a wierd key ring that has a polariser built in, so you see black then the name of a game. https://i.imgur.com/lDvyJHn.gif Seems that you can open the bottom to slide out the name, but ...

Ketsui suction cup Erm, what is that? (Ah, after some looking around) it literally is just a suction cup, jeez. Reminds me actually, years ago I picked up some trinkets that were mean't to be related to CAVE merch, just a couple of things but I was never sure if they actually were CAVE related. I w...

Nice going Cools, good luck.

Anyone know if the sound mod is line out only, as I take it that it doesn't go via the volume pot?

Re: Game Boys (Bivert-curious welcome)

I've used Deadpan robot, they fitted my Green / Yellow screen. They're pretty good. My first backlit screen was just the Green, then after I botched the ribbon doing a case swap, I decided to go the Green / Yellow route as it seemed more authentic. Thing is, although the yellow green is the better m...

Re: Game Boys

Never had the original GB, as I was in the eye-candy Game Gear camp. Never really liked (at the time) the limited graphics. I don't have any nostalgia for the device, but many years later picked up DMG GB for a fiver, played tetris for 5 mins then didn't play it lot more as i couldnt see a thing. Co...

Re: [Project] Capcom Mini Cute Cabinet Production

The screen is fixed with security torx fasteners to tabs on each side and top and bottom. There is a gap of about a mm all the way around and it doesn't slot in anywhere, so care is needed putting it on and off. https://i.imgur.com/9YcYWN6.jpg?1 The appeal of the cute is the design and small form fa...

Re: Xbox 360 in an Astro City?

My Viletim set up is: 360 Scart to Viletim PS1/2 adapter for Viletim ps3 / X360 to PS1/2 adapter You have to have a 360 pad plugged in all the time, and then faff around turning it on and off for it to detect the Jamma controls. It does work, but through this method it's a bit fiddly. And you have t...

Re: 100 and 120v

I had a Maplins step down transformer -so it was 120V. However, my home voltage was realy high resulting in >120V going into my Cute. My PSU in the Cute eventualy blew, although that may have just been old age. Lots of people use the common 120V units, with no complaints, but I ended up getting a be...

The metal is folded multiple times for extra quality.

Some of the wire is from ancient katanas, which as we all know are made of the strongest metal in the world. - If you don't believe me, please watch the documentatary seven samurai, which was about 6 famous sword makers.

... I think you can use a UK one. You just need to ensure that you get the same rating (wattage). I imported 2 360s but they were the 'Asian' ones with UK plugs I would wait for further confirmation before buying one ... is the connector on the back of the Jpn 360 the same arrangement as the connect...

Re: Which is the smallest and lightest candy cab?

I suppose that the SC-14 would be technically both the smallest and lightest. Can't say that I've ever seen one of those for sale. I'd love to have a SC-14! Wonder if the listed weights for the cabs are correct, but I suppose that it's rather academic if you have a small cab, although I think the Cu...

Excuse the copy/paste from NG. Hi guys, I received the SNK Neo book yesterday and thought I should post my initial impressions and share a couple of photos. First of all the book was sent very well packaged - as mentioned previously the book was sent with sprung corner protectors which was a nice t...
