Re: [x] OK BABY !

Thanks guys, and yes I will get some ball tops, not sure what colours yet. I have a general cab refurbishment question; I will want to clean up the CP and at the same time I will probably have to do the rest of the cab, so it won't look odd. I have seen some threads on the process, but I wonder if a...

Re: [x] OK BABY !

OK! Managed to get the CP back on and now I have a spare screw left over - don't think that matters, i'll give it a once over at some point, although I am sure that all the necessary ones are in. It was a bit fiddly keeping the CP up in line with the cab - but a chair and a few cushions kindly assis...

Re: [x] OK BABY !

Well, it finally arrived ... but its not been tested yet, because I had a little adventure. Me and my sis took the gate off and started to take the metal guarding off the shed to find out that one of the screws had no grip left, however it was the top one and we could swivel it upwards. Martin arriv...

Re: [x] OK BABY !

OK, so might ... might be getting this on Monday. It's been a bit of a nightmare organising this, but let's hope for the best. I'm hoping we will be able to get the CP off without too much problem, I could do with losing a few inches :awe: , -so I don't have to take the gate and door off. Does the c...

Re: Anyone stroking themselves over the PS4 launch announcem

Apart from my initial 'It's new and shiny' thought, there isn't really anything on the PS4 that really grabs my attention. I see that the Motorstorm guys are doing that Driveclub - and yet GT6 is PS3 bound! I really expected the new GT to be on the 4, if that was the case I probably would be on boar...

Re: [x] OK BABY !

Before I seriously considered getting a cab, I saw a pattern, someone gets a cab, next thing they have three or something. I thought, what's the point of that? One would be enough for me if I ever got one. Now I see that it seems to be a real pain in the butt to rotate the monitor. That could be a p...

Re: [x] OK BABY !

No worries, about the late reply, as I'm still in the midst of sorting out the delivery. It's going to my sister's place, so there have been a few extra hurdles along the way, but we are nearly there.* Thanks for the extra feedback, really sounds like taking off the panel will be for the best - the ...

Re: [x] OK BABY !

Thanks again guys, Martin gave me a great quote. I did some measuring up today and will have to take the garden gate off, and also the door and metal 'lip' to the shed - just over an inch or two too tight. Having said that, it might be easier to just take the control panel off, although its difficul...

Re: SEGA NAOMI [x] OK BABY ?!

nice one - congratulations. :awe: In terms of couriers, Martin had collected/delivered cabs for many of us and is a really nice guy. This may or may not be his mobile number (used to be, at any rate) : 07748 521550 Cheers, I will try to give him a buzz tomorrow (I'm not sure I should ring him in th...

Re: SEGA NAOMI [x] new machine spotted

Thanks for the extra info, I was just about to ask about the 15hz monitor issue. As for the control panel - you say about spares for this, do you mean the structural elements (facia) etc, because can you usually easily swap the buttons and sticks out? I think I may have to take the control panel off...

Thanks for the heads up Zed, I will keep an eye on that. In the meantime, I have seen a candy here; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COIN-OPERATED-ARCADE-MACHINE-/121179020071?pt=UK_Video_Games_Coin_Operated_MJ&hash=item1c36d51b27#ht_43wt_1122" The seller doesn't say what it is, it looks a bit grubby, but ...

Re: SEGA NAOMI (Jamma)

Great response chaps, really appreciate it. I wasn't sure about the paint job, I'm not sure why someone would paint it grey, but the key thing - which you guys have clarified is that it seems to be over the money for what it is - although the Jamma conversion and the supplied happy fish thingie woul...

[x] OK BABY !

Hi there, this is my first thread, so here goes. I have been looking around for a cab to play my pcbs and I have come across the following on the bay; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AWESOME-SEGA-NAOMI-ARCADE-CABINET-SNK-NEOGEO-CAPCOM-302-SUPERB-ARCADE-GAMES-/251339190385?pt=UK_Video_Games_Coin_Operated_M...

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Hi chaps, Was going to start a topic in the cab section, but thought that it may not be appropriate. Whilst I have been arcade gaming for many years, I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to cabs. I have been using a Sigma supergun and have been happy with that, but have always fancied a cab, probl...

Re: DISPL IS THE POWER! Crucify the XRGB!

The separate upscaler that I used to use, definitely displayed a better picture. I think that both this and the XRGB and other such units do a better job than the TVs' internal efforts in displaying the raw RGB. The only thing is that these units weren't designed for our usage directly in mind, wher...

Re: Future of Arcade Gaming?

The only future for Arcades imho, is through those private club type set ups. You know, with people buying into membership etc. You do still have a market for them as being part of a leisure entertainment type of place, where the arcade is only part of it, but you won't get the niche games. The few ...
