Re: Please Help Me Get My Astro City Working!

One question first— again, I apologize for my lack of knowledge— there is the ON/OFF switch on the back of the cab and another on the power box inside the cab (with the AC input), do I turn both of these on and does the order matter? You have to have both turned on. They're wired in series. Order d...

Re: Please Help Me Get My Astro City Working!

Yes, connect it normally before doing any modding. Power on the cab and see what happens.

It's absolutely possible you could have blown something connecting the 4-pin connector. Hopefully not though!

Re: exA-Arcadia

They're just boxes.

Shou says they'll release them one after another. That doesn't specify a time frame. Surely it's the worst possible time to release anything right now.

Note that you can't fix this with picture controls:

Re: nanao ms8 26SU d431

Yaton fixes are the worst. I hate them with a passion. You can fix the anode on the original flyback. It's just wiring (with a lot of insulation), and the anode connector (the hook) is soldered on. Just cut the wire before the repair, unsolder the connector and resolder it on the new end. As for the...

Re: Please Help Me Get My Astro City Working!

I think what's likely is that the PSU you have connected to it now is not one that was originally meant for it. Anyway, you need to work out a way to have pin 16 (PS_ON) grounded. There's a multitude of ways to do this, some better than others. An easy way would be to remove of the sheathing on the ...

Re: Please Help Me Get My Astro City Working!

I’m not sure what you mean by this... happy to figure it out later, but is it possible in Japan we don’t utilize this? (Since most plugs are 2 prong only) If necessary, what would my household earth be? Depending on the building's age it's certainly possible. If you don't see an obvious earth groun...

Re: Please Help Me Get My Astro City Working!

The ground is already connected to a screw inside the cab. Yes, but you should have an earth ground connection go to the back plate too. Your back plate is then earthed to your household earth. So of the 3 prongs on the noise filter, the pink and gray attach to the left and right sides, the center ...

Re: Please Help Me Get My Astro City Working!

image.jpg The back side of the cabinet power cord, inside the cab. There are no visible wires going out from this area to either the power box below, the monitor, controls, JAMMA, etc. There's your problem. The other end of the harness in the red circle (AC INPUT) should be connected to the outputs...

You have to rotate the yoke to fix that.

+5V is enough to run a Model 2. +12V is just for the case fan.

Looks like a Model 2 harness to me.

What tube is that?

Take a pic of the back showing the yoke and yoke rings.

I have to pay ebay commissions (8%), paypal commissions (4.5%)
Is there some reason why you insist on selling on eBay / using Paypal? Make a FS post on here and ask for SEPA bank transfers (they're free). 60 euros is already way more enticing than 70 euros.

so diemen do this flyback for naomi chassis?
i can't found this reference on their website :/
HR Diemen 46274 will work on a 29e31s. You have to swap R447 to a 56k resistor (original is 33k).

The image quality isn't perfect, but it works. I've had it running for over a year.

Couple of pics

Here's the A68KSA30X with a NOA-1502-02 bezel (same curvature as the one in the Blast City):

Here's the A68KSA30X (left) next to a Sanwa 29e31s (right) (again, same curvature as the MS2930/31/33 in the Blast).

Re: MS2933 to HITACHI A68KSA30X

OK, I take back what I just said. The curvature is actually perfect. It's absolutely bang on. The front of the tube bubbles up way more, but it doesn't matter, since the sides are exactly the same. The only problem is the mounting depth. The front of the tube extrudes further from the dog ears, so y...

Tube is, yoke isn't.

The curvature will be wrong, so it won't fit the bezel.

but I initially thought it was not necessary since there was continuity between them
There's probably a filter cap in between which is why it showed you continuity.
