Re: Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection

Not going to happen that easily. Samurai Shodown V uses huge mask roms. That's why you don't see conversions of Special.

This said, I'm sure the ROM will be extracted pretty quick and people can play it on their flash carts.

I don't. But I can try pulling the BIOS off one of the cards I have here if needed.

A 9600SE, specifically a Sapphire 1024-HC37-02-SA
May be worth trying to drop the official BIOS on it.

Re: K7000 sparking

I like your enthusiasm. I need to drop a new tube on it to see how good it is.

MS8-25 with a Tosh tube is the gold standard for me. Best monitor ever made IMO.

Re: Taito Type X multi

TGM3 uses a different videocard to the other Type-x games (if you swap the videocard TGM3 will work fine but the others won't). Are you sure? I have TGM3 running just fine on a stock Type-X which has a 9600SE. However, that's the only card the game will play nice with. Most Type-X will work just fi...

That's the one. It's 720p.

Grab yourself a RingEdge 2 from Yahoo. Doesn't matter which game, doesn't matter if it has a key or not. Boards can be had for peanuts (literally, I think someone grabbed one for 600 JPY).

Re: Sega naomi Under Defeat/NetBoot setup.

I just recently tried it. Unless there's an original mode tucked away (I didn't really look), the HD+ remix is pretty bad. Tries to be Zero Gunner, but the controls just don't work.

All of this from maybe 3 minutes of playing, YMMV.

Re: Looking for a New Astro

Monitor remote? I'm pretty sure there isn't a MS8/9-29 without a remote. They all come with one and they won't work without it.

Yours was probably just mounted on the frame. You would have just needed to relocate it to under the CP (possibly with a longer harness).

Unfortunately yes, you'll have to drill it. Those magnetic key locks are pretty much impossible to pick.

What phillv85 said. The coinbox will have an uniquely keyed lock.

Philips tube actually.

I guess I'll just order a 053X0528-001 compatible flyback and see what happens.

Damn, crazy how much this game has gone up in price.
It's too bad arcade boards became cool to own. I bet 99% of everything $1000 and up is just sitting unplayed on shelves sandwiched between sheets of plexiglass.

Don't lie to yourself, you know it's true ;)

Re: Please Help Me Get My Astro City Working!

You're confused, sorry.

For button 4, you have to have this pin populated on both P1 and P2 connectors:

ac_jamma_button_4.jpg

It's pin 9. Upper right is pin 1.

For buttons 5 & 6, please take a picture of your current kick harnesses (so that it shows both ends).

My set up should narrow down the lag to that 4 frames so that's totally doable
There's no way of getting this game running sub 5 frames. I don't know why Shou is so adamant on saying otherwise. It performs worse than Garegga, the same as SDOJ on 360.

Ahh, I see. My mistake. I guess the monitor takes a while to power up, so I can see there being a difference.
