Re: Dead Flying Shark

One more thing. The pcb has some scratchy audio, for example when you drop the bomb or when your plane is shot. The music is fine. I've used the old trick of hooking up a pair of leads to and external audio amp and then to the pins of the audio circuitry. There is a YM3014 on this which leads pin 2 ...

Re: Dead Flying Shark

Sorry to wake an old thread, but I've just repaired a dead Flying Shark.

I checked system11's log about the game and desoldered the 470uF 16V cap at C2 and it measured only 20uF.
Replaced it and presto, the game booted :)

Thanks system11!!

Re: Bubble Bobble Bootleg info

Hi guys, i think i saw this kind of error in this thread somewhere, but i can't find it. It seems that there's some issue with the game area screen. Take a look at my video here: https://www.hasntfiguredouthowtoembedyoutubeproperly.com/watch?v=f9TgABbjv1A Did you see the blue dragon appear from the ...

Re: Help with GQ-4X w/ adapter

Hi guys, sorry for waking a thread from the grave, but I've got some information that could be useful when programming HN27C4096's. I was trying reprogram about 10 or so of my 4096's, but the GQ-4X gave me an error about every time. Then I just changed the device from HN27C4096G to M27C4002 and then...

Re: Xexex sound problem

I've just received a Xexex board where the paint on the hybrid chips is pretty flaky, so I'm planning on replacing the caps with tantalum smd caps.

Wish me luck :-)

Does anyone have a picture or two of the inside of the back plate?

Thanks
