Re: Egret 2 Earthing

Thanks. Would you mind taking a few more pictures. I can only one see earthing cable in the picture attached to the bottom of the cab. Where does the earth cable from the chassis run to and from and where does it connect with the mains earth.

Egret 2 Earthing

Just getting ready to put the loom back into my Egret 2 after having it painted. Looking back at the photo's I have taken, I can not see how the earth is connected! The earth from the main power cable to the power board looks like it's not connected to anything. There is an earth cable from the powe...

Re: New 15khz or Tri Sync Monitors In UK?

PFX's are pure flat screens, so would not fit an Egret 2 or Astro City. Would fit an Egret 3 or Atomiswave with a modded chassis shelve.

Step Down for an Egret 2

I'm currently doing a full restore of an Egret 2. The cabinet had a loose internal step down fitted. The cab shows that it should be 100V but the live was connected to a terminal labelled 120v. Should I just try and get a Japanese plug and an external step down and put it back to how it should be? W...

Re: Marquee Group Order (Uni, NNC, Blast, NAC, Egret)

Would you be able to do a marquee for an Egret 2. I made one up for my Egret 3 below, but would be great to have an E2 one.

Re: Egret 2 Sideart

Yes, I have resprayed five of these cabs and on every cab I first tried to get the side-art off in one piece, I succeeded once, but then the art had stretched areas that was impossible to fix. Remove, spray and get repro-art. Just a quick question, what topcoat colour did you use? Was it "Appliance...

Re: Egret 2 Sideart

Thanks, I have just placed an order for all the artwork. Time to go and have a chat with the professional body work repair shop, that painted all the parts for my black Naomi.

Thanks all for the advice. Is Jasen's Customs the best place to get the repro side art?

Egret 2 Sideart

I am due to be getting an Egret 2 soon and am looking to try and make it as minty as possible. The current side looks a bit tatty, but that is mainly due the clear protective layer peeling or being nicked in places. However the actual artwork below looks fine. What are my best options as I may be lo...

Re: GroovyMAME/UME for dummies

I am currently running two versions of Mame in my Vertical Egret 3. I have a 64bit version of Cabmame 0.141 which includes the sound sync patch and no nag etc. This fixes sound issues in loads of old games, but I thought the sound sync was broken sometime around 0.143. I also run a 64bit version of ...

No all games are only playable in a window with a boarder. No screen adjustments available!

Re: Xbox Live Arcade

I got this and was mega disappointed that Battle Royal is in a tiny window with no full screen option! The emulation on the older games is poor as the sound in Pac-Land is all over the place.

Windows Vista 64bit

Is Windows Vista 64bit a total no go for a Mame PC?

I have problems with driver support for XP 64bit and Windows 7 64bit has problems due to boot the resolution.

Re: Windows 7 and Arcade Monitors

Unfortunately some of the games I want to play run much better on Windows 7 than on XP. Homura and Shikigami No Shiro III run perfectly on Windows 7 and are unplayable on XP. I think the XP driver support for my hardware is very poor.

Re: Windows 7 and Arcade Monitors

Jpac or jammasd I am using a jpac in my cab, so I tried running the signal through the jpac and the boot screen appeared ok, but I got nothing once windows had loaded, even though it is correctly set at 640x480@60hz and the jpac is set to 31khz. I have a new ArcadeVGA on order, but I had issues the...

Re: Windows 7 and Arcade Monitors

I just tested XP 32bit with a 32bit build of Mame and it's running Tekken 3 faster than XP 64bit with a 64bit build of Mame I have check that I have all the latest drivers for XP 64bit and everything appears to be working fine, but I should get a speed improvement over XP 32bit not the opposite :wtf...
