Re: Cadillacs and Dinosaurs CPS1 'case'?

A legit board is going to have mask roms for graphics data. Another sign is the PAL security chip (rather than a GAL replacement). Also, all CPS1.5 boards are four layers instead of the three layers of CPS1.

Re: Super Hyper Street Fighter Twin Turbo Champion Edition

I like SF2 Hyper Fighting the best. In my opinion, the series peaked there. I always thought the new characters from the SSF2 series weren't as cool as the original roster. I really didn't like the way the changed the sound effects and voices making them higher pitched. The whole feel of the game I ...

Re: No sound Cad & Dino cps qsound

I replaced the sound amp, but it ended up being a problem with the desuicide process. You might try going through the desuicide modifications again.

Good luck!

Garegga > Batrider > Ibara = Bakraid for me.

Maybe I need to spend some more time with Ibara.

Re: Competition Idea

Taking that idea a step further, how about creating a poll with a list of possible games. Each member can vote on one if they have it or are willing to buy one for the competition.

Re: Armed Police Batrider dip switch settings?

These are the jumper settings on my board. It plays with everything unlocked without having to input any codes. (also have demo sound off and free play on)

Volume pot replacement Cave 1st Gen PCB

I think I have a bad volume pot on my Cave 1st Gen PCB. Any idea where I could find a replacement that's the same as the original?

I can make out some letters on the side of the pot: 348d-10kB.

Decrypted Rockman 1. If you look, you can see that it's running using SFA3 decrypted driver, it's what Leo uses to test his ROMs. ;)

Re: Capcom CPS1 "C" boards.

Unless you have a rare, undumped version of Strider, it should use a C-board with a CPS-B-01 chip on it. Are you sure you're not getting the numbers confused? My Strider has a C-board with a 88622-C-2 silkscreen on the fiber board, but the graphics chip is CPS-B-01. A small C-board like the original...

Re: CPS2 Development PCB - SFZ

100% clean. No fancy menus, no clutter, no dumb/odd A.I. Plays exactly like the original which has suicide battery. If someone is worried about counterfeits being made out of this, it's up to the buyers to look for MASK ROMS, battery, CAPCOM security seals and pins. The goal is give people freedom ...

For the record, another user here (whom I won't name unless he wishes to come forward in this thread) and I are actively creating new "clean" decrypted sets - for free, I should add. We also have some interest in the security key programming protocol for the encryption keys so that dead games can b...

Very cool find, richy! I wonder if it has unencrypted roms since there's no battery on board. Please keep us updated as you learn more.
