Re: Dirt Devils (SEGA 1998)

WOW! :-o So much to take in but so little time to read this lunchtime :( First I've noticed is you seem to have the Australian version - I've not seen the region specified in an attract screen of a Sega driving game before.. I wonder if this means the game differs in some way to Export/Japan/US reg...

Re: Where Can I Find An ELSA GLADIAC 979 GS Video Card Bios?

The bios is for 7900gs cards, run it on anything else and you'll brick the card. 9800gt requires the windows drivers to be updated. Ahh.. I seem to be getting confused with all the research I've tried to do on this.. :( Is there any way to get a 9800gt working on a Taito X2? The native games all se...

Re: Kick Harness on a Net City

Hmm the 10pin jst nh connector is nothing to do with kick looms. That lead is for the maple bus on naomi for vmu readers or dreamcast controllers.

You'll have to build an extra button loom for cps1 and 2

Re: Type X3

interesting, just this weekend I was trying to clone an official Type X2 game onto another HDD using "dd" and I couldnt get it to work. I figured it probably was checking the drive model or something as I was trying to use a different make/model HDD. I ended up buying a Seagate ST380811AS, which is...

Re: Type X3

Not ps3 based stuff, pc equipment with trusted protection module (tpm) They can now make it so even if you clone the hdd and put it back it can break the seal thanks also to use smart hdd attributes and checking power on count and power on hours. So basically play around and try and hack and you'll ...

Re: Taito Type X2 Games.

Depends if the game was a kit or dedicated, dedicated games will only be found in there cabinets unless parted out.

Same applies with Lindbergh, ringwide/edge, nu, x3 etc.

Re: Sega RingEdge Software Backup

Played Triangle Service's Pengo on ALL-Net download and really enjoyed it and so subsequently found a NOS "Game Center Love With Pengo!" kit for RingEdge2 - without the dongle. I know the game has been released on the XBOX but it's not quite the same Is there a legit supplier still selling these ri...

Problem is my vt4 soft kits are export/usa/china. Most people have japan region.

So costs a bit just to send mobo for region change.

Re: Sega RingEdge Software Backup

Well slimmer finding them, there where loads of mj5 sold with key chips a few years back.

I got a few nos virtua tennis 4 disc and chips from Sega, should update and add a ringedge section but don't think there is demand.

Re: Sega RingEdge Software Backup

Each game has it's own keychip and in most cases Japan region have different keychip for the same game. The keychip now has a region bitmask, Japan is generally on it's own, then you have Export/USA/China on the other keychip . There is also orange keychips which are rental ones. WCCF has a custom c...

Re: Sega RingEdge Software Backup

Waste of time, Ring series DVD are authenticated, and have a security sector. Copied DVDs will not work at all, also most off the shelf DVD drives struggle to read original security sector. Border Break - is an ALL.Net p-Ras game, and requires a custom keychip WCCF requires some much extra hardware ...

Re: Vewlix Comparison Table 1.1 and Manuals

Well, the Dia is made for the Nesica system ; buy one Nesica client (basically a type X2) and you should get the JVS board. Out of the box a Vewlix D lacks any JVS or Nesica interface :palm: http://www.candycab.es/akihabarainhome/images/vewlix/vewlixDcontrolPanel.JPG I guess the left one is the JVS...

Re: Type X3

X3 could run x2 games, but not from an original. Most newer pc stuff is windows 7 64bit embedded and also most companies are using the tpm module for security which finally makes arcade pc games secure imo. Also this rules out 3rd party companies fixing stuff, meaning revenue from repairs. Namco lat...

Re: How to Clean the Seat Cushion from a Sega Racer?

Think the problem is that kind of plastic absorbs dirt and marks, once that happens not much can be done.

You can still buy black ones from sega which would look nicer.
