Kinda hard to say without pictures.
It could possibly be a step-down transformer?

AFAIK there's only one power supply from the factory.
Yeah I have a Blast City. Just one power supply. Maybe you have a Sega Naomi power supply in there too? I know those boards sometimes take their own power.

Can't seem to find it... It's on here somewhere but there's a couple of photos of one I made here... If you want some more photos let me know and I'll dig it out for you. https://forum.arcadeotaku.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=29144&start=40 I'm not super technical so I don't know that I'd learn much fro...

Re: Boot or Original : Post original/bootleg PCB photos here.

A good reason to peel a CPSQ game out would be the casing fan getting faulty and being unable to source a replacement. If that board was meant to run naked from factory, the C board would have black insulation foam glued to it and the battery, to prevent an accidental short and deletion of encrypti...

Linking Cabs?

Does anyone know of a guide fot linking cabs? Google hasn't been much help but I kneww there must be some official solution given how head to head is the most popular fighting game setup in Japan. I've discovered the VS kit but it seems to be pretty rare. I'd like to connect two Blast Cities - and e...

Art set storage?

How do you store your art sets? I have a nice home arcade setup where my PCBs, cab, and workbench are against a living room wall and I'd love an easy way to access my Blast City artsets. Maybe even some sort of wall mounted display.

Finally got it out. Had to call my wife over. She said, "it smells like basement". Which is exactly what I want to clean up. :D

Re: First time discharging monitor

Oh hey to the OP, I just looked at your wish list on Amazon and I'm not so sure that screwdriver is going to work well for discharging. I could be wrong, but the chrome plating on the shaft may prevent you from getting a good electrical connection through your alligator clips. Whatever screw driver...

if you're just removing the monitor from the cabinet, just pull the whole thing out. No need to do anything to it.
So I don't have to disconnect the chassis to get the monitor out of the cab?

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

Is $750 a fair price for a blue Alien VS Predator cps2 cart? Not at all, unless it’s full kit maybe. What makes you think that ? A+B sets have been listed for half this price or less on US forums in the last month. I figured that was too much based on the other cps2 carts I have. But I hardly ever ...

Headphones with Blast City?

What exactally are the solutions for using headphones with a candy cab? I saw in an article some egret 2s with headphones and it indicated this was a mod. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/0 ... y_cabinets

But I don't see a guide to it anywhere.

First time discharging monitor

Hey everyone. So I recently got my first cab and I've been doing my research so I can discharge the monitor safely. I don't plan on recapping or doing any maintenance on it soon. That's all in the future when I have more knowledge. But for now I'm going through the cab with scrubbing bubbles and rem...

Re: Boot or Original : Post original/bootleg PCB photos here.

Btw, your mobo seems to be an A board Dash. I'm new to this hobby. I have no idea what that means. That means the first and huger board at the bottom (mother board, called A-board), with a Jamma connector, is a newer revision coming with Street Fighter II and later CPS-1 games. The Xtal (cry...
