Re: Strikers 1999 chips u33 and u34

It's just max speed, it doesn't matter if the other one is higher specced. Check continuity on all legs and look elsewhere for your issue. Crap I thought forsure it had something to do with speed :( the rest of the board is mint , and untouched. I checked continuity and everything was good on those...

Those are SDRAMs if you're wondering about them. It might be possible to source similar chips from old AGP VGA cards.
Yeah i was wondering where I could find replacements. I just want to confirm with someone if they both have to be 66mkz like what I saw online

The chip probably came like that. It's a regular form factor for some chip types, the legs are bent under the chip in a J-shape. They're not very fun to solder.
Seriously ? The top chip looks like it’s tilted to one side like someone changed it; it’s not level with the pcb

Strikers 1999 chips u33 and u34

U33 and u34 seemed to be resoldered/ changed to the ones on the board now. The only clear picture online I can find shows the chips both being 67mhz while the ones on my board are 66mhz and 83mhz. The Board does nothing on start up. Any one have his game and can confirm the chips here? Thanks Whoeve...

Re: Strikers 1945 2 buzzing sound

https://streamable.com/cfla9 There’s a video. Almost instantly the amp/ psikyo/ surface mount chip on bottom left are super hot. You hear the buzzing as soon as the game starts up. That buzzing overpowers the sound indefinitely and only sounds decent because I put my phone up against the speaker to ...

Re: Strikers 1945 2 buzzing sound

It’s okay, thanks anyways :) I’ll make a video so everyone can hear how bad this sounds Probably not much help as I've noticed this is a PS5 revision PCB but it doesn't buzz, even at full volume. After 15 minutes of attract mode the board stills run cool with the exception of the SH2 and audio regul...

Thanks! About 2-5 mins and it’s all hot in those areas. Maybe even quicker, let me know if your board does the same!

Re: Strikers 1945 2 buzzing sound

Got this sucker back out of storage and time to tackle this sound issue! Game still runs mint , buzzing still going on. Amp is stinking hot. I touched other chips to see if anything else is hot and we got 3 more; psikyo big chip , the square chip at the bottom left and the clock signal chip is somew...

Ms29 chassis identification and wiring

It came out of a dance dance machine and the guy said it worked. Tube and chassis for $50 bucks Someone hacked the wiring so I’m missing one part of the wiring for the rgb ground and sync. Anyway to get that connector that goes to the board? https://i.postimg.cc/fR0VNGDZ/41_A71_C27-8_E3_B-4521-923_E...

Re: Initial d monitor(s) is funky.

Well here’s some good news and some bad news lol I got one working, the master side that is. I pulled the chassis out and noticed one cap was busted off probably from the move, soldered it back in and bam screen is stable. Fast forward till today, I turn it on to start diagnosing why the other Naomi ...
