Re: Knights of Valour PGM question

Is there a great deal of difference between this and the original Knights of Valour 2?
More selectable characters and more in game different paths to choose. It s quite a big difference.

Re: 19XX vs Sonic Wings 3

19XX is pretty sweet, it’s one of the dozen shmup PCBs I felt the need to own. Aero Fighters series is fun but I’ve only played part 2 and “Sonic Wings Special” (Sega Saturn). Overall I’m more of a CAVE & Raizing kinda guy, but I do appreciate several of the older Toaplan, Seibu, Capcom, and Konami...

19XX vs Sonic Wings 3

Which do you think guys is a better all around game. I own Sonic a Wings 3 on AES and I would give it a 8,5 out of 10. Have never played capcom's 19xx though.

Re: Why buy a board when you can mame??

MAME is a powerful tool to try before you buy. It is for free and everybody can have it anytime. For me there can't be more enjoyment and satisfaction from owning the real hardware that was the one you used to play at arcades as a kid. It's really cool to hunt for a rare pcb and super exciting to fi...

Is Phoenixing of CPS something between emulation and origina

The best thing is to keep the original batteries. But what happens when you find a game that you really want to buy and it is phoenixed?
Is it 100% original. How many chips go out to become alive from death?

Re: CPS1 & CPS2 battery handle.

I would say every 6-7 years is enought to be on the safe side. just make sure the new batteries are really new, and not years in storage. I changed my thrid strike battery back in 2004. it's still working.. Cool! What was the brand of the battery. Most common brand out there is the purple one, Tadi...

Re: CPS1 & CPS2 battery handle.

Phoenixing would be ok if the worst happens but to send any board for phoenixing is super costly if you include shipping and time cost.

Are replacement batteries really that much worse than Capcom's?
I have the same question and that's why is this thread opened.
There are Maxwell batteries from a site in Singapore but not sure if they last so many years as the originals.

CPS1 & CPS2 battery handle.

Hi guys, I am new at Capcom PCBs and would like to take opinions how the battery works. A friend of mine told me that these lythium batteries have specific life. They don't charge. Their life is extended if the PCB is in use. If it's in use 24/7 then it extends its life for that time. If its life ti...
