Re: Sega Trackball replacement substitute

the sega trackball enclosure is smaller than the new suzo/happ/betson 2 1/4" , so if clearance is an issue, be aware. I've seen 2 type of optics in sega trackballs, the newer ones, which works with naomi and stuff. and the older ones ( brown ones like in your link ) which seem to be incompatible wi...

Easy PCB mounting?

Hi guys, I was thinking of a quick way of chaning PCBs without using screws each time - basically a plug and play method. Here's what I had in mind: 1) Apply a sheet of velcro to the wooden board inside the cab. Something like these for example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-High-Strength-velc...

Custom JAMMA Wiring

Not sure if this should go in the wanted thread or not, but is there anyone trustworthy here that can take an existing SegaSonic the Hedgehog Trackball setup and reproduce the wiring?

For a fee of course :)

Re: Monitor Rotation

For the Cute: Disconnect the power and video connectors hanging down through the hole. Remove the 4 nuts. Lift out, rotate anti-clockwise and replace. Rotate the bezel. Done. Thanks JY :) More confident now. I'll be saving up for Bee Storm now (I played this a lot in a London arcade a few years bac...

Re: Sega Trackball replacement substitute

The **ONLY** issue really is if it will fit!!! Ask for a drawing and see if it will fit inside the Aero CP. My £0.02 HTH Cheers, Ralph. It's the same size as the Sega one. My only concern is the wiring which is connected to the encoder boards (both appear to be 4 pins). The link in my first post se...

Re: Monitor Rotation

Don;t need to disconnect anything. Place a towel on the CP, undo your nuts and lift the monitor gently out onto the towel, rotate, and pop it back in! Don't forget to do the bezel: I ALWAYS do  HTH Cheers, Ralph. Cheers Ralph! This would probably work for the Aero, but not the Capcom cute (th...

Re: Sega Trackball replacement substitute

Sorry mate, I should have been more clear. I am more interested in the optics board, encoder wheel and rollers.

The balls are pretty easy to find (that's what she said?).

Sega Trackball replacement substitute

Hi Chaps.

I'm looking to replace the Trackballs from a Aero CP.

Here is what the Sega one looks like:

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=36311.0"

I think they're 2 1/4 inch. I can't find any parts (used or NOS) anywhere.

Can anyone recommend a substitute?

Cheers,

Zak.

Monitor Rotation

Hi guys :)

This might sound like a stupid question, but are there any guides for rotating an Aero or mini cute monitor? It's not something I've done before and I don't want to attempt anything which might cause damage (or kill me).

Cheers,

Zak.

Yes.
Thanks for clarifying :) I'm new to all this. I'm not even sure how to rotate a mini cute monitor.
