Re: Molex or JST (or AMP?)

I see. It's more complexe than I thought. Is ''TE'' japanese? Other: Akishop is selling those ''AMP'' connectors by Sanwa https://www.akishop.jp/connectors/139-amp-connector.html## Could those ones replace all TE Mate-N-Lok connectors of the Pony? Yes, most of them but not those that need mounting ...

Re: Boot or Original : Post original/bootleg PCB photos here.

Hi, I would like
system11
input on this since this is the 3rd or fourth pcb I come across and all of them look the same and I need to salvage this cabinet (among x20+ others) ASAP, is this an original board?

Re: You've Got Grail!?? AKA The Valuation Thread

Plastic cabinets... :D The Neo 25 is not entirely made of plastic, the base body is made of metal, crappy metal but metal nonetheless, although the soldering/construction is on par with Taito/Capcom metallic cabs. i.e: a POS  , or at least not on Sega's level of quality if you preffer.

Re: Which joysticks fit this NAC panel ?

Please can someone tell me which brand off Joystick I will need to buy. As Rossyra said, either Seimitsu LS-32, LS-40, LS-58, LS-60 or any seimitsu joystick that can be fitted with a Sega or Seimitsu "NA" mounting plate, you can also put JLF's in there with a JLF-P-1S plate, but you will loose almo...

Re: New Astro City 4 button vs. Kick Harness JAMMA issue

Ok, now I think I can see the problem, try to desolder the button 4 pin from the jamma connector, if that doesn't workl you will need to rearrange the pins inside the female AMP connector, it seems that one of the ground wires might be connected to some of the button pins; So I tried de-soldering t...

Re: New Astro City 4 button vs. Kick Harness JAMMA issue

Maybe a few pictures can help, because afaik, buttons 4,5 & 6 on astro city CPs go into a different conector separated from the jamma harness, its a 10 pin female amp conector, that plugs into a male/male loom, so if the other end of the kick harness isn't connected to a 6 butoon PCB which also has ...

Re: height of aero panel

Among all of the candy cabs from all known manufacturers the Aero city is one of the cabs with less clearance under the CP, less suitable cab for tall people thats for sure, if you need to place your legs under the Control panel go for a Jaleco Pony, avoid Sega, go for any old metal candy cab from J...

Re: height of aero panel

Measure from the ground (where you're standing on) to the bottom of the control panel ;) That? I know , I'm a bit dumb....BUT, these cabinets have adjustable metal feets, so what's the point in measuring the distance from underside of the control panel to the ground :wtf: ? anyways, currently is 55...

Re: height of aero panel

Ok then: I measured heights on the front most part of the panel (the one facing the player), and the back part that goes against the monitor lid which is the part with the highest clearance due to the slanted shape of the CP surround. https://i.imgur.com/BWSLwHQ.jpg Hope this helps, I'm too lazy to ...

Re: height of aero panel

You want to know the height of the panel (metal plate) with its joysticks mounted or just the thickness of the metal sheet?,or the height of the control panel surround.... or the control panel base? sorry but I don't understand what are you asking exactly.

Re: Astrocity, New Astro City, Tube Differences?

Yes, Toshiba A68KJU96X is the original tube for the Astro/NEw Astro, both tubes are the same, MS8 and MS9's use that same tube with only a slightly difference in the yoke, theres no such thing as a "Nanao" tube afaik. Can you swapp one for another? I want to bring a MS8 home to play with it, but I ...

Are you also going to reproduce the rotate mech??, legend says that Green Aeros were specifically made to house 2 games at a Sega event :ugeek: , a soccer and a baseball game that used a vertical monitor :penser: .

this is one of my MS825-FTB's and VR1 adjust trapezoid, do it carefully as this vertical board is very flimsy.

Exactly, if they expand they will also get loose, just use ice water to cool them off.

Re: Any tips for removing stuck screws?

Heaten them up with a soldering iron, that will dilate the metal, use your J.I.S. screwdriver while the screw is still hot, if you still can't unscrew them, try applying cold water over the heated screws, repeat the preccess if needed, sooner or later the screw will get loose, chemistry always wins ...
