Re: magnet strips for convergence

You can find 3M adhesive Permalloy sheets for sell on Ebay, but they are not made in Japan, if you put those in your CRT, then your cab will be donwngraded to 97.6% japanese :ugeek:

Re: Versus setups using two boardmasters or the new Combo AV EX++

All that you'll need its on the edge connector/fingerboard, just build/modify a harness for routing the player 2 controls to the "edge" conector of the 2nd supergun, very easy if you have each supergun proprietary pinout.

Re: Frequency issue - Guardiands / Denjin Makai 2

Well both of these appear to be the same with only a few masks missing on yours, but something "inside" is obviously different, I'm clueless since this not the first time I have read people complaining about sync issues with this game. A viable solution would be to build a jamma adapter then adding ...

Your korean PCB might be a bootleg because I have the World/US pcb which is the same as the supposedly korean one and I never had that problem with any display, be it a PVM, TV with superguns and various arcade monitors, does your pcb look like this one?

Re: What is your rarest jamma pcb / jamma kit right now

My most rare pcbs are Kiki kaiKai (don't know if this was ever released in the west) and the japanese version of Kid Niki: Kaitetsu Yanchamaru-kun, the only person I know who have this pcb appart from me is Shou.

Re: Nanao MS8-25FA

It only changes horizontally, but due the dynamic focus of the camera it might appear that it also changes vertically buts it's just an effect of the camera, I shouldn't have turned the lights off.

Nanao MS8-25FA

My 25" monitor started to give me troubles today after not using this cab for months, the issue can be seen in the following video, the picture is all shaky on the sides, it expands and contracts every 10-20 seconds, it gets better after a few minutes with the cab turned on until the problem goes aw...

Re: New Astro City Joystick mounting

The mount plate you have in the photo is for the Sanwa JLF, for Seimitsu joysticks on a Sega panel (your panel) you will need a pair of "NA" mounting plates which is currently OOP, but I beleive focusattack.com still sells them.

Re: Question about buttons

I really don't know, I talk from my experience as an electrician, I do work with such devices, but not at manufacturing level, the client provides the PM switch and I just install it where it goes  , only thing I can tell you is that I have replaced a few of these on some gas stations pumps.

Re: Question about buttons

Possible but not easy as just plugging a few cables, you'll need to build some sort of multiplexer circuit.

Re: What is the rarest game that have you found at a old arcade rental paying few money?

R-type at nearly $10 usd, the most beaten up/played m72 board you will ever see, caius fixed it for me, thanks Fab! Makaimura C version ( the easiest/ fairest one), the owner was about to trash all the internals from a Section Z Romstar woodie, he asked me to give him 12 happ buttons in exchance for...

Re: What's the reason for Astro City CP design variations?

The "licensed by" were made by either Sanwa or Seimitsu, you can tell which one is which by looking at the button layout for the player 2, Seimitsu used the Sega layout while Sanwa used a straight layout similar to the one on newer Vewlix panels. Then those with the Sega logo were made by Sega, but ...

Re: Anyone with an Astro City2

The back of an AC2 is different than those on the AC and New AC, it looks like the back of an Aerocity, supposedly that space was meant to house the bigger Sega Model 2 and Model 3 boards, I don't like how it looks with those oversized speakers :shifty: (but I don't like the looks/build quality of a...

Re: [Project] Capcom Mini Cute Cabinet Production

I agree with the chaps here, the Capcom Mini Cute must be the most pointless arcade cab ever, its serves great as a compact test bench for arcade pcbs tough... If I were to reproduce a metal arcade cabinet, I'd go with the Capcom New Concept 2, I used to play on those back in the day, mono/stereo sw...

Are there any units available ? if not, is there any queue I should sign in?
