Re: Items you can't afford on Yahoo Japan Auctions

Yep, rancor and I went for that. We are both pretty sure that it's fake bids. The working one on Surugaya went for almost half of that last week. The non working one 3 months ago went for 86k yen. The box can't be worth that much, as @needaes aes and I went halves on those DS2 kit boxes a few weeks...

Re: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou EXA LABEL

I'm guessing an exa pc + game will be cheaper than what SDOJ goes for nowadays? Provided there even is one available that is. It should be a bit cheaper. But it won't be the same exact game as the original SDOJ (this new version will obviously have exclusive gameplay differences - I am excited to s...

Re: FS: In The Hunt IREM

Is the pricing off? Two has been sold lately at around 380 plus ship on eBay so I thought 400 inc shipping would sell almost instantly. On ebay sellers have to pay ebay fees + paypal fees. If you want to sell it for 380+ Euros, ebay would work, but you'd loose about 50 Euros in the process. Buyers ...

Gimmick! update looks and sounds great.
Agreed! One of the more interesting games for the system that I've seen thus far.

Re: exA-Arcadia

Insider info claims CAVE is making a version of Dodonpachi Saidaioujou for exA:

I hope it's true!

It sold for $360,000 to Greg McLemore (founder of Pets.com):

Re: Items you can't afford on Yahoo Japan Auctions

@rancor: Is sk8texas your YAJ account? SCENARIO: Rare game shows up on YAJ after a year or two of not being there. Lots of people have had it on their want list for a long time. Bidding war ensues. It sells for higher than usual. Next one shows up soon after and doesn't sell for as much because ther...

Re: Senjin (M2 shmup for All Net)

This looks pretty awesome.

I think "Readers Select" on the top screen is a typo for "Leaders Select". Unless this game has some weird theme about "reading" in it.

Good points about the comparison to Akai Katana Shin!

Using on bosses is more of a coincidence of them having a big hitbox & no reason not to use up chain at the end of each stage.
That's no coincidence. That's game design. ;)

Re: exA-Arcadia

Lovely stuff. Zaarock's got skills. There does seem to be a decent amount of depth to it. Reducing your bombing and dodging more as you gain confidence so you can get the 999 chains. So yeah, lag's a biggie dodging patterns like that (and that's just stage two!) Unfortunately I can't help but think...

I like ikaruga too one of my favorite game.
Right on! :awe: It's all I played from 2002-2004. I still play it once in awhile but I've forgotten all the chains.

Re: exA-Arcadia

Eoj we know you only like cave  How would that be relevant to what I posted? For the record, I like plenty of games not made by CAVE (Ikaruga is one of my favorites). And it wouldn't matter to me if aka to blue was made by CAVE or not. My original comment about the input lag would be the same...

Re: exA-Arcadia

I'm not in Japan. Next time I go I will try this game out in the arcades and decide for myself. :awe: Maybe by then CAVE will have released a title for the platform as well. Stopping by the EXA offices would be super cool as well (many thanks for the invite). A game like Battle Garegga has 4 frames ...

Re: exA-Arcadia

Just wish we could have a chance to buy the version with slower bullets. I wish they made a version with less input lag. I'm reading reports of 5 frames even on a CRT (and 6-7 on LCD screens). That's worse than the worst X360 ports (SDOJ, MMP, etc)! One of the main reasons why I shell out big bucks...

Re: exA-Arcadia

@EOJ, any idea what's the current take on the game in Japan? Most things I've read have been positive, but just modestly so (nothing too glowing out there, at least from what I've seen). Not a whole lot of talk about it on twitter, etc, though. The inability to post and share video segments and the...
