You don't need it for HotD1.

It's for the newer IR lightgun tech from Sega.

FPGA handheld from Analogue. Fits Gameboy carts as is, but will also support Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket and Atari Lynx carts with adapters.

Very cool.

Re: exA-Arcadia

What about a consumer oriented version of the EXA platform, à la NeoGeo AES and CPS Changer? Same product, priced to a consumer audience, with consumer features and not coin operated? Many western arcades are not pay to play, but pay to enter. So customer pays an admission fee to the arcade and the...

So they're magnetic locks like the Sega 5380? If they are, you can forget trying to pick them. That means your only viable option is to drill both locks.

Re: Noob trying to rotate NAC monitor first time

Yeah, you need to disconnect the cable for the remote. There's not a whole lot of slack. The remote end is probably easier. Then there's the 15-pin connector at the back. That's it for connectors. For panels, remove the back plate behind the marquee light. Then remove the monitor bezel. Then undo th...

I saw this today and got a good laugh. EGSgzGsX0AAfWfE.jpeg No way were Naomi kits $850 when new. Like needaes, I was out buying Type X2 stuff when it was still current. Super Street Fighter IV 2012 AE was available for preorder at the time. It was 956,000 JPY, so roughly 9k USD for you Yanks. This...

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

That one with the LCD topper is pretty sought after. I would say asking price around 1000 USD would be reasonable.

Looks like it's from KC. With KC, always inspect the cab yourself. Do not buy sight unseen.

Re: How not to package a pcb for shipping :(

Years back I bought a Raiden 4 HDD and dongle from the marketplace here. Paid like 160 euros for it. Seller informed me that he had sent it. A week later I was at home in my kitchen making lunch when I heard a "clunk" sound from the hallway. I noticed a jiffy bag was dropped from the mail slot in th...

Re: How not to package a pcb for shipping :(

To be honest you could have received it broken even if it was shipped like the game you have in your "proper" packaging example. The problem is the weight of the whole thing (especially caged) and the fact that the BGA chips aren't properly soldered to the board. The motherboard needs to rest on a l...

Also, lift it a small bit from one side, then do the other side, repeat until it's off. If you lift it up all the way from just one side you will bend the pins at the other end.

I regularly power just one cab with a 5000W step-down. Haven't had any issues in the past five years.

Each chip is 16mb, so if there's two chips, it's 32mb.

There's both kinds of 32mb memory sticks: one stick has two chips on one side, but nothing on the other side; the other stick has one chip on each side.

Nichicon won't go out of spec in 10 years.

Does your friend have a MS9 as well? Can you test your cab with a regular jamma board?

Your picture has screw-ins though? Are you sure they're 28mm? The ones in the picture are standard size 30mm.
