SNK MVS-U4/25 and 29, differences?

I've been taking a look at the Wiki and, although there's plenty of repro art for the 25, for the 29 there's nothing. At first I thought it didn't matter the model (25 or 29) repro art would have fitted both, but then I realized sizes are different (I'm talking about side art mainly) and colour is d...

I didn't replace them, just cleaned up a bit.
You could try these I think.

Does the connector for the new fan fit the connector on the Naomi? If it does and it doesn't work, then yes, you will need to swap the pins.
Perfect, didn't know this, thanks a lot.

Re: NAOMI 2 fans

You may safely ignore the sensor pin on the 3 pin fan for the casing. Actually, the 3 wires case fan doesn't work. I'll just return it as the base probably works with a 2 wires fan only. I could ask for a swap but I've just discovered that the noise isn't caused by the fan itself (which is rather s...

Re: NAOMI 2 fans

The third wire is used on PCs as a monitoring signal so the computer can tell how fast the fan is spinning (or if it is stuck not spinning). Yes, I've read that. Case fan (the bigger one) has only 2 wires though (see my 2nd picture), do you think I can swap it with the 3 wires one I've purchased? T...

NAOMI 2 fans

I've browsed quite some threads so far but I'm still unsure about a couple of matters, so please bear with me and try to lend a hand ;) Are these the fans to replace? https://s1.postimg.org/7ktplyhr0f/20171010_233610_Copia.jpg Or is it this one? https://s1.postimg.org/91zunpnlhb/20171010_233628_Copi...

Thanks!
I've got the same chassis and your post gave me the "inspiration" to pull the monitor out again and toy with the pots (I couldn't access them while still mounted).
Now picture is fine and I can finally play in peace ;)

Re: Nanao MS8-FTB

(1) telling me what's written in Japanese VR1 Trapezoid adjustment. Well, I could have guessed that  2) if FTB and F are somehow different or if they're just the same monitor Probably something similar to this. https://forum.arcadeotaku.com/viewtopic.php?t=30454 Hmm they only refer to the leng...

Nanao MS8-FTB

Hi all. I've asked Grant how to adjust the trapezoid on my Canary (MS8-25FTB) and he was so kind to send me a link to the MS8-25F's manual (from the Wiki). What's weird is that it refers to a VR1 pot (see image below): https://s1.postimg.org/2tfolfuzdb/image.jpg while the Canary's manual does not! I...

Ah ok. I've also tried switching no. 3 on but nothing happened. I've yet to try no. 1 and 4.

Re: Taito G-Net menu

Several of the G-Net hacks don't have the music tracks. I believe that Brave Blade is one of them. Ah cool, well that would explain it ;) What about accessing the menu though? Not sure. I can try a bit later tonight on my own setup and let you know if I run into the same issue :). That would be gre...

Taito G-Net menu

Hi everybody. I've just got my first Taito G-Net motherboard and was eager to try Brave Blade but there's no music. At first I've thought it was receiving an insufficient voltage (4.96) but even raising it to 5.10 didn't solve the issue. I've seen there are 4 dip switches. I've put no. 2 on "on" and...

I've seen tubes like that used in (old) industrial electrical enclosures. The socket is called S14s and you can still find tubes https://www.amazon.it/S14s-35w/s?ie=UTF8&page=1&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3AS14s%2035w THAT is the stuff I was looking for! Thanks! I'll desolder/solder again and it should work! :a...

Re: What kind of neon is this?

Not sure what you mean, but when I replaced the fixture and light in my capcom big blue, I just cut the plug off the end of the new fixture's cord, and butt connected the existing cabinet wiring to the new fixture wiring. Looking at your pictures, it should be the same process. If you want, yes mak...
