Nanao MS8 / MS9 differences

Is there a decent list of the differences between the various Nanao MS8 and MS9 chassis and tubes that are compatible?

Re: Sony PVM-20M4E Defect

The shadow mask is held up with quite thin wires, some Trinitrons had others holding it up at the centre which shows up a thin line in the centre or in the thirds of the screen. If you unplug the monitor and rock the screen back and forth you will probably hear the shadow mask hitting the tube. It l...

MS8-29 vs MS9-29

I have an MS8-29FSG that has vertical collapse issues and some one offered me a MS9-29T to replace what I have whilst I get parts to fix the MS8. Are there any major differences between the MS8 and MS9? From reading the various threads it does seem that the MS9 is interchangable with the MS8 but is ...

Re: What's it worth?

What would

The Great Ragtimeshow (Japanese version of Boogie Wings), Sengoku Blade, Tekken 2 (Ver B) and Rabbit Punch be worth?

Oh and a bootie of Tiger Heli?

Re: It's for free!

Before I chuck it in the bin, I have a poor condition Cave business card to someone who no longer works there (the email is no longer working and there is no mobile number, just the standard Cave numbers). The english side is fine, the Japanese side has marks from where it rubbed against another car...

Re: Konami Windy Cash Box key needed

Well for obvious reasons cash box locks tend to be different, you don't want your employees stealing the cash and you don't want a key from one arcade to open the cash boxes in another. You would be better drilling it out and replacing the lock.

Re: Twin Cobra PCB (US, Romstar) Freeze

I fixed a broken TC board by just removing the connectors and swapping and inverting them. Went from black screen to fully working game. Make sure they are clipped in after.

Re: Sega Touring car Upright issue

Most PSUs, do have a fuse inside them. I would open it up, look for a fuse near the power input (it will probably be marked F1) and use a multimeter to test continuity. It could be there is other problems on the board and the fuse may blow again, but it is worth checking. The Daytona USA I have had ...

Re: Sega Rally Championship in Daytona Cabinet

I was shown another Daytona USA board, that is why I was confused. *slaps head* Although the force feed back and sound amps look identical to the boards in the Daytona USA Twin. I will have the complete wiring harness, filter boards / cage, psu and all the PCBs from a Sega Rally twin. So making up a...

Re: Sega Rally Championship in Daytona Cabinet

Any hint with what might need doing? I can't see why the boards shouldn't just plug in.

The Namco System 22 games, it was just a case of unplugging and plugging the board in (with the large number of connectors) and Rave Racer, Ridge Racer and Ace Driver Victory Lap all worked a treat.

Re: Anyone know what this board is?

During the early 90s, Konami made some Token betting games and I am 99% sure that is one of the boards that would have driven it. It would have had a number of other boards attached to it to drive lights and the hoppers a well as boards that read the inputs, hence the number of connectors on teh boa...

Re: Chihiro Types

Good to know. Thank you.

I assume the CF games will only run on the Type 3 boards? I ask as someone has offered me an Outrun 2 upright and I would like to run Outrun 2 SP. Trying to find out what Chihiro boardset it has.

Sega Rally Championship in Daytona Cabinet

I managed to pick up some very cheap (but working) SRC boards from someone who was parting a twin machine out, will the boards work on a Daytona USA twin cabinet without too much work? I would have bought the whole machine but $600 delivery is a lot more then $80 delivery.

Chihiro Types

What is the difference between Chihiro Type 1 and Type 3 boards? Are there games that won't run or one or the other? Are the CF boards limited to Type 3 boards? Is it easy / cheapish to expand the board from 512Mb to 1GB?

Re: What's it worth?

anybody know anything about Taito Ground Effects/Super Ground Effects pcb price? I have two, but i didnt find anything just the game photos, and datas. A lot of older driving games with a few exceptions don't hold their prices well and most of them are quite uncommon to see as a PCB. So unless you ...
