Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

I think only the PCB is like 500 euro or something nowadays? Still crazy popular game. I payed 350 euro like two years back but it was something of a friend deal. If marquee and strip is original I have a friend who might be interested in your kit. Yeah, they're original. Is your friend in Europe? ...

Anyone know the going rate for an original Bubble Bobble pcb these days? I’ve got one with marquee, move strip, and instruction manual.

Re: Automatic 15/25khz switching for Nanao MS8/MS9 - interest check

I'll ping @opt2not and see if he can help out with a MS9 revision number to search for. Unfortunately I sold that NAC a little while ago, with regrets, and kept it’s twin without the auto-switching chassis. I believe the T in MS9-29T stands for Tecmo . The cabinet was a Tecmo version New Astro City...

Re: Streets of Rage 4

I'm digging the game. I think the improvements are a nice progression of the genre, and there are clearly versus fighting game influences here that I feel play well with the style of game. The replayability seems pretty good with something like 16 unlockable characters all feeling very different fro...

Re: Whats in your cab(s) right now?

Hey everyone, I haven't posted at AO in a while, but I figured I'd drop by and say hello. Why not do it with some hardware pr0n? In the last month I've been Twitch streaming arcade games, and have been swapping out boards pretty frequently. I currently have my CPS2 Multi connected https://i.im...

Re: What's it worth?

I have a beauty Astro City panel that has zero rust, and a unused NOS overlay (still has the protective film on it). I bought the NOS overlay a while back, and it took me a while to find a matching panel (CQN-2004). I was able to find one not too long ago, and have restored it, i.e rust-treated and ...

Re: Canadian in London -- gamer things to check out?

Thanks gents! I actually got there pretty late on a weekday so it wasn't busy at all. But it was cool to check it out anyways. While we were in Paris, I was able to check out Arcade Street, and that place was also pretty awesome. Again, I went during a non-peak time but I did get to play 4 very frie...

Lol, yeah he gave me a good beating. :D
Though my ST skills are really rusty. I kept catching myself doing focus cancels and double-tap dashes. Damn SF4 has ruined me.

Re: Canadian in London -- gamer things to check out?

Thanks gents! I ended up going to HOG, near North Acton tube station (I love the subway system here, but during rush hours it's madness). Unfortunately we got there late, on a Tuesday, and they were close to closing. But I did get to play a few rounds of ST with a few guys there. I wish I had more t...

Re: Canadian in London -- gamer things to check out?

Also, I'm hoping to come home with a good SCART switcher that can handle at least 4 inputs and can output to 2 displays, like a Shinybow or Keene Commander. Are there places that sell these there, or are they hard to come by?

Canadian in London -- gamer things to check out?

My wife and I are heading to London soon, for the first time, and will have some time to look around the city after all our sightseeing. I was hoping to get some info from you fine folks as to what gamer friendly things to check out in the city. I'm looking for recommendations for Arcades or Barcade...

Re: New SFIV Update

I was recently reminiscing on using Blanka online. He has a lot of good dummy moves and bluffs to really wind up your opponent. Combined with confusion tactics from hard to predict speed and priority that have been fine tuned with pure evil. There's also false-sense-of-security moves, such as the '...

I have an official Sega NOS 2L12B overlay. Unused, still has the protective film on it. Anyone know what it's worth these days?

Urgh. Hopefully that's not par for the course. Other than this thread I've done zero reading about how these have generally been received and what teething problems/hardware issues folks are experiencing. What's the the general consensus?
