Re: Jitsu Squad Kickstarter

Looks great. I'm a sucker for belt brawlers and I'm digging the character design, lots of Samurai Spirits in there.

Re: demon front mvs?????

+1. IGS puts out such beautiful games, and they play well, but at the same time they feel like doujin games. Haven't played Oriental Legend 2 though and Martial Masters seems to be well respected in fighting game circles.

Re: Cave and a desert island

Why? Not trolling here, just interested in your opinion. I like the music better and I think the scoring system is much nicer. But the most important reason for me is that Mushihimesama feels like an epic journey that has a logical build up to the climax whereas Mushihimesama Futari feels more rand...

Mushihimesama.
Nice choice, I have always prefered Mushihimesama over Mushihimesama Futari.

Re: Megadrive Mini

Also, how cool are the props: megadrive_mini_tower.jpg Added plastic that has absolutely no functional value. Pretty much like the real things (well, S&K excluded). I guess it would have been too expensive to actually make those functional; but why not make the MD updatable via USB and include down...

Re: Ever gotten a highly anticipated game and been disappointed?

That's some solid advice, the same is true for me (or rather, I got further than I ever had... I remember I once made it to the middle of stage 5 of DDPDOJ on one coin, which for me is sensational. I have never 1cc'd anything substantial...  ). I've had years between attempts to get into ...

Re: Ever gotten a highly anticipated game and been disappointed?

I think it's actually not too difficult (Shot/Laser) with Autobomb ON. I can 1CC it nearly every time I play now (only took me a month or two of practice to get to that level). Can't say that about most other CAVE games. It is a difficult game in your first several credits, but the difficulty soon ...

I preordered the Mega Drive version. Really looking forward to playing the game, Henk Nieborg did the spritework and the soundtrack is sensational:

Re: Ever gotten a highly anticipated game and been disappointed?

Dodonpachi Saidaioujou. After Daifukkatsu (which was also a bit of a let down... still hate the stage 5 lasers and all the stupid bullet-cancelling) was looking forward to a true Daioujou successor, but the game's visuals and audio are largely bland and while Daioujou's difficulty was somehow always...

Re: It's for free!

Anyway, free for anyone who pays postage is the shell, PCB (for Playstation) and plexiglass cover of a Byrdo stick I bought eight years ago. Looks a little rough (see pics), but with a little effort you can have a great base for an awesome and conveniently small joystick. https://i1.ytimg.com/vi/xZ...

Re: Again a brand new Dreamcast game in development

I hate to be a party pooper, but with regards to gameplay elements, there wasn't anything we haven't seen a thousand times before in other platformers in that trailer. Graphicwise this looks too much like a flash game to me; if it had at least proper pixel graphics, like Shantae and the Pirate Curse...

Re: Help needed - Egret III broke down!

Excellent. After trying to find info on how other people dealt with this problem (looks like everybody just buys a new chassis) I got the impression that repairing a chassis is next to impossible. Found somebody on KLOV who sells replacement parts, so let's hope I can get this baby up and running ag...

And whatever cooked (probably easy to find out which one - the burnt on, right?) could be replaced, couldn't it?

Re: Help needed - Egret III broke down!

Update: Switched the cab on; sound (from PGM game) comes on just like normal, but there's no picture. After some moments, there's a burnt smell, and right enough, there's a thin whisp of smoke rising from the chassis, from beneath the red thing in the middle of this picture: http://i64.tinypic.com/x...
