Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

Can someone shed some light on the going price for a previously new-old-stock Hikaru + Planet Harriers rom-board, with only a few hours of playtime?

And of course in the Netherlands the shops just inflate the price from the get go, just like they did with the Nintendo classics :(

Again a brand new Dreamcast game in development

Seeing that there are undoubtedly some Dreamcast enthousiasts here at ArcadeOtaku I thought it would be worth mentioning that Senile Team , known for Beats of Rage and Rush Rush Rally Racing are developing a brand new 2D platformer for Dreamcast(!), PC & PS4. You can find their Intrepid Izzy Kicksta...

Re: A new Neo Geo game just announced...

I'm surprised they have put a cap on the amount of MVS cartridges available for pre-order, I see there are now only 3(!) copies left for pre-order. I wanted to order this one as well, but I'm going to hold out for the JAMMA version.

Re: A new Neo Geo game just announced...

I'm highly impressed by what is shown in the latest video. Also those extra features........ worldwide leaderboards updated by Wi-Fi.... really hope this becomes reality, that would surely extent its playability in a competitive way.

Re: Paprium

WaterMelon isn't the greatest when it comes to communicating with their customers and fanbase. However from my own experience they do deliver what you pay for in a beautiful way, you do need a lot of patience though

Re: A new Neo Geo game just announced...

It seems NGDEV will also release Kraut Busters on their own, more powerfull JAMMA platform! .... NGDEVTEAM: "No, we don't like GFX enhancements. We will have JAMMA for that." Does this mean there will be a Kraut Busters JAMMA version NGDEVTEAM: "Yes, it replaces the MVS version. It will take some ti...

Re: Paprium

Really psyched for this one! From what I've seen and heard of this game so far.... the graphics and sound track :awe:. Also the fact that it uses a custom chip inside the cartridge for enhanced sound makes it really cool. Go go WaterMelon games! edit: for those who would like to pre-order the game, ...

I was really anticipated for the launch of SKYCURSER. But with it's current price tag and those first impressions of trap15... I'll hold off for the time being.

Re: If you ever buy a used neo geo mv 1 motherboard..

@RMRM, not being able to solder and/or having the tools for it is definitively limiting in this hobby, but it doesn't make it impossible. Over the last 15 years I only needed technical assistance once for the replacement of one of my monitors. Besides that I have not run into technical problems, wel...

Re: If you ever buy a used neo geo mv 1 motherboard..

Eckart, I think you misunderstood me. I said I'm not capable of fixing this myself, but that I wanted to look for someone locally. Anyway let's take any further communication in regards to our deal back to PM, and let this topic serve it's purpose for fellow arcade enthousiasts to debate on this mat...

Re: If you ever buy a used neo geo mv 1 motherboard..

Seeing this is a public debate now, I'll come forward as the buyer. I bought eckart's NEO XYX + MV1 bundle for a lot of money. The whole transaction went smooth, good communication, rapid and proper shipment. However upon installing the MV1 in my NAC, I was presented with a wrongly aligned NEO XYX s...

Still got Truxton in my NAC, fantastic game and sound track. But man, this game is hard! Love the fact that the game always sets you back to the beginning of a scene when you die, so you can't credit feed yourself trough the game. Having a hard time getting past stage 2
