Re: PS2 / PS3 / 360 joystick decoders, do they exist?

Toodles on the SRK Tech Talk Forums sells a PCB called a "FG Widget Converter" for $15 each. It comes unassembled and requires some basic soldering and a sacrificed PS2 extension cable. I built a supergun for fun and profit using a pair of them and it turned out perfectly. http://farm6.static.flickr...

Nice, I really need to focus more on avoiding bullets in stage 3. Its not that its a particularly difficult stage I just keep flying sideways into 45 degree bullets.

Hacha Mecha Fighter

01. JOR - 7,811,050 - Stage 5? 02. TBD - 2,432,880 - Stage 3 Noticed a few people on the board have this PCB and thought'd I'd create a score thread. I tend to get knocked out with dumb hits sooner than I'd like but thought I'd post my score anyway :awe: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2461/58585016...

Re: What's it worth?

Anyone know the going rate for for a mushihime-sama kit? I've got an idea on bare pcbs from recent sales on forums and YJA but haven't seen any kit prices of late. Planning on putting 'WTB' in a couple weeks and wanted to make sure I had reasonable expectations :awe:

Re: Favorite game to play and play and play

Of my current boards Hacha Mecha Fighter gets the most repeat plays followed by Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter.
Before I sold it Death Smiles was my most played and I wish I still had it. Something about it made for a perfect game to boot up after work.

I'd say go for the an Astro unless you can find a fairly clean blast city for cheap.

Re: Quick astro city marquee question.

The New Astro City manual lists the bolt size as M4x16. Should be the same for the regular Astro City. I think the bosses are just basically there to give a little space between the main marquee holder portion and the back of the cab so it shouldn't matter whether its in Metric or the closest equiva...

Anybody know where all the regular sellers on YJA went? Selection has been pretty slim lately and I was hoping to buy some CPS2 games to toss in with some stools I'm gonna have shipped surface

What I don't get is if SNK is milking their properties for a shmup wouldn't Metal Slug have been a better target?

Hey I'm Matt. I live in the southeastern corner of the states with my Astro City and my dog Strummer. I've been a CPS2 nerd since I was a poor college student around 2000-2001 and now thankfully on my way to owning a lot of my favorite games. :D In addition to arcades I'm into music/records, craft b...

Re: Question about Astro City panels from Akihabarashop

Is that the seimitsu panel? Mine has proper mounts bolted to it. I believe that picture is showing the backside of the overlay not the panel's backside.

Re: Replacing Marquee Bulbs In Astro City's

You may wanna pull out your existing bulb and read the numbers listed on it. My Astro City had a FL20SD bulb which is an aprox. 23" bulb. I wasn't able to find it locally but was able to order a couple fairly cheaply online.

Wiring for Astro City Kick Harness

Right now I'm just snaking a CPS2 kick harness through my cab but have a bunch of amp connectors, pins, wire, and a spare cps2 harness and was contemplating making some harnesses to hook everything through the kick harness on the astro's panel. Does anyone know the proper standard wiring for the 10 ...

Re: I want to put a Seimitsu LS-56 on a standard Astro style CP

The holes on the MS plate mate line up quite nicely with a Sanwa JLF flat plate. If you used a control panel with Sanwa rather than Seimitsu mounts it should be a direct replacement. Compared to the LS-32/LS-40 plates from Seimitsu the MS plate vaguely lines up with the flat plate available for the ...

Re: Getting 2 candy cabs soon. Have a few questions...

I've used a basic version of the retrobrite formula on a few unpainted pieces from cabinets and it worked well on the unpainted pieces. Took about 3 applications to get it right. I don't believe retrobrite works with painted pieces though As for the monitor, hard candy lists the cute's monitor as be...

Re: Your first arcade game played/or the one that got you hooked

I know I used to play the occasional game of Ms. Pac-Man when I went out with my family for pizza as a young child, and I seem to recall going to a small arcade at a shopping mall when I was maybe 7 or 8 years old, but the first time I remember being totally taken back by arcades would have been in ...

For my Astro City: -Recieve parts from akishop to refurb the sticks and replace the buttons -Order a new coin slot and oem overlay from AGS -Strip and refinish the control panel white before applying overlay (may need to epoxy and redrill the holes to fit the oem overlay as well) -refinish all the ...
