Aka & Blue Type R

Probably worth a moment to give a big thumbs up to the crew for that amazing “box preservation” outer bubble wrapping, no?

Re: exA-Arcadia

Ethernet cable. :awe: It will only work if the software supports it. No online or updates for the first units is shocking if true. Even worse of it was done on purpose to make non updated units rarer and more valuable in the future. How is that online updating of all your other arcade platforms goi...

Re: Dreaded Weiya C3129D issue

Thanks Grant. Going to be near impossible for us to test with another tube around here though.

Is there any point in trying to replace the vertical IC or is this an unlikely fix?

Dreaded Weiya C3129D issue

Hi folks.

Helping a friend out with an Atomiswave - any quick pointers on this issue with the C3129D? Other than throw it in the trash which seems to be the fave course of action for these!

Vertical IC? Easily sourced replacement?

Thanks in advance.

Cyberlead.

I miss that cabinet. Gave it away to a mate who was in the country I was in at the time because it was too wide to get through any regular doors!

Re: exA-Arcadia

Love the enthusiasm of the “otaku” scene but I just wonder.. how much of the addressable market do the home collectors think they represent? I love a good, passionate debate on all things, but exA wasn’t invented to service the forum buyers first and foremost. Let’s get passionate about the fact tha...

Re: NNC surround yellowing

Is this unavoidable? Just noticed my NNC monitor surround is starting to yellow a bit. I bought this NOS 6 years ago and I'm pretty sure everything matched back then, unless I'm going mad. The CP upper is the original and that has remained white, as has that bit in the middle (I forget the correct ...

Folks, where does Fast Striker MVS LE sit on the price scale today?

Is USD$700 a ridiculous amount?

Re: Shenmue 3 kickstarter ?

Lots of hate in this thread, not sure why - lovely game series. There hasn't been a quality game where you can feed a cat since.

I've backed it, and obviously others have too given they've already hit the reserve (with 31 days to go).

Each to their own I guess!

About to start cleaning out the closet and have no idea what things are worth these days.

Fast Striker MVS LE full kit (with original case/posters/soundtrack etc)?

Many thanks.

Re: What's it worth?

Bit of a long shot here, but looking to potentially offload a Capcom Mini Cute which was sprayed black at some stage - reasonable condition (ie. the paintwork could be better, though it's not terrible), good monitor, new speakers (Alpine jobbies), new control panel parts and repro artwork, FrancoB f...

Re: [HELP] Namco System 357 issues

It could just be a case of mine being busted but when you power just the PS3 portion it turns on then beeps to turn off. nvs, If you could dig up the pinout that would be great. I'd rather not get the pinout wrong and fry the board (tried looking at the interface PCB but it still wasn't quite clear...

Re: [HELP] Namco System 357 issues

Yes, you'll need 12V DC to the 2-pin connector as you've mentioned. It powers the JVS board (which the video signal also feeds through, iirc).

Can't remember the pinout off the top of my head, but shouldn't be hard to figure out. I can dig out one to confirm if you're stuck.

Re: JP Lindbergh SD owners ?

i`m irritated, are you talking about the eu units ? No talking about the Japanese cab FYI, Eu and Japanese cabs share the same monitors, same silver metal parts, same plastics, same speakers, same electronic components obviously. The UK ones have metal work built here to cut the costs of importing ...

Re: JP Lindbergh SD owners ?

i was undert he impression that the jp units use a toshiba lcd with protective glass front. None of the Japan ones I've seen had glass front, and the Tosh screen was pretty shoddy.. Actually, I think mine is glass? Originally I thought it was plastic but from memory when I ripped it apart properly ...
