Re: Nanao Ms 2930 /2931 Same Yoke?

The Degauss button is different, but they are interchangeable. Cool, that is good news. The Degauss still seems to work the same way. Thanks Rob Yeah it has a different connector for the button. Its a small 2 pin connector I can't seem to find for the life of me, so I use a wand. 2391 has a sharper...

Nanao Ms 2930 /2931 Same Yoke?

Hi

I have always heard nanao ms 2930 and ms 2931 chassis can share the same tube and yoke. Just wanted to confirm this as I have recently swapped out a 2931 for a 2930 (I like the 2930 better)

Any one know for sure. I would hate to mess up a nice working chassis.

Thanks as Always.

Re: Nanao MS-2933 Tube Compatibility?

only consideration will be matching the tube heater current, its done by a resistor- if its too dark you half the value and of course too bright then double the value i thinks its r732 on the 2933 but would need to confirm obviously the crt pinout needs to match I will need to figure out how to che...

Re: Nanao MS-2933 Tube Compatibility?

0.195mh horizontal yoke only for ms2930,31,32,33 and 34 probably need to check value of resistor on heater matches the tube the 2931 has a push button remote which is possibly the same Hi. I do have a few tubes with ms2930,31 yokes on them. Does this mean it should work even if the tube has a diffe...

You could connect it to a LCD monitor and see what resolution it's outputting.

Great idea. I will try that

Thanks

I think output from your pandora's VGA port is not VGA(640x480, 31KHz).
It will be SVGA(800x600, 37KHz).
So Blast Monitor cannot sync it.
Hi

I see, that would cause it to not sync. I guess it needs an adapter of some sort.

Thanks

its probably to do with combined or separate sync wiring in the vga cable

Thanks, any possible ideas on making it work?

Nano 31k Pandoras Box Sync Issue

Hi Another question... :D I have been looking around for an answer on this. Why will a pandoras box 31k output not sync with a Nanao 31k tube through VGA? Has anyone got this to work, are there certain versions that put out a proper 31k so a Tube can sync properly? My 15k tubes seem to be going out ...

Yes, it's the same tube across various monitors. Only the yoke and chassis differ.
Cool, I will have to get some MS9 yokes to give this a try.

Thanks for the info :)

Re: Nanao Ms9 on A68LBT696X

the tube is not the issue but the yoke is the ms2930 yoke is around 0.195mh horizontal inductance whereas the ms9-29 is around 0.300mh, it will run but i would expect the HOT to be driven hard and geometry issues for example if you run a toshiba pb 6643 on a ms2930 tube/yoke it will short the HOT w...

Nanao Ms9 on A68LBT696X

Hi

Trying to get away from only using Ms2930-32 chassis.

Has anyone ever used a MS9 on a Toshiba A68LBT696X?

Thanks!

Kinda hard to say without pictures. It could possibly be a step-down transformer? AFAIK there's only one power supply from the factory. Yeah I have a Blast City. Just one power supply. Maybe you have a Sega Naomi power supply in there too? I know those boards sometimes take their own power. I was t...

Here is a noob question. What is the second power supply for in the back corner of a Blast City? None of the ones I have are connected to anything.

Thanks
