Another fan here
Awesome! Was such a long time disregarded by me due to the fact that its not a Cave STG and was often looked down upon... There are so few infos on it, despite the IGS website still going strong (in all its engrish glory) and of course HCG101... :P

Re: DDP Bee Storm broken

Yes and the way I see it, its by far not as refined as any Cave STG - but its a heck lot of fun to play (especially with the grazing)!

Edit: plus, its a bit cheesy with the bold typo and the copy/paste assets from DDP.

Re: DDP Bee Storm broken

Wow guys, thanks for all your help! I took it apart, cleaned all the contacts, wiggled the ROMs and fiddled with the faulty poti - and now it works! :awe: **** moldstains on the back of pop remain but on the other hand I now have a complete DDP II set. And the game is awesome, imho. P.S.: bought a f...

DDP Bee Storm broken

So I bought a DDP Bee Storm from ebay. The artset was described as „very good condition“ the cardridge „like new“. Artset has moldstains on the back, which wasnt mentioned and stinks like mold. Cartridge boots with several errors, please check the images. :( All three images are separate restarts of...

Re: Sanwa JLF and modifications

I see. Didnt even think about going the other way, since I even find my stock JLF so soft. But What do I know, right - I‘m still experimenting and am glad for all kinds of inputs!!! :P

Re: Sanwa JLF and modifications

Thanks monouchi and I‘m trying the same. It seems that I need way more practice though. I still need to improve on those very short taps. Its defenitely a practice thing I recon, since I can pull them off now - but like 8-9 times out of 10. And that doesnt get me anywhere, since I want consistency.....

Re: Sanwa JLF and modifications

So I took the day off just to improve my movement/hand-eye-coordination. I rarely spend much time on a single game for so many hours straight and I must say that my movements (in DDP) improved indeed. It helped a lot to reflect about it and analyze the problem. One thing that I wasnt aware off befor...

Re: Sanwa JLF and modifications

This is of course the right question, empathic. Sorry, that I didnt state it but I have a relatively hard time with some Cave STGs. Its like, I can often do tap-tap-tap on the joystick but sometimes the taps are a bit longer and sometimes they are a bit shorter, if you understand what I mean. Its th...

Sanwa JLF and modifications

So I have the Sanwa JLF with a Kowal actuator and harder spring in my P1 setup and the unmodified in the P2 setup of my Egret II. Why on gods beautiful planet earth is it still so very hard for me to micrododge bulletpatterns? I have the feeling that I would be better of with a keyboard but I wont b...

Just to get this thread going (and in anticipation of the exA release) I like to speculate that the Cave release might be a modified Dodonpachi Maximum. There I said it. ;)

Found this post now. I‘m one of the hopeless idiots who threw their money at them for a limited edition on day one after reading a hype article on Eurogamer. I followed the drama unfold and I have contacted them several times but they are too much into black jack and hookers instead of putting a gam...
