Re: exA-Arcadia

Apparently they're fixing bugs discovered in the JPN release, which is holding up the release to western markets. I got the same result as you when I spoke to Arcade Heroes on the discord server, plus last-minute bug fixing on other games like Kung Fu vs Karate Champs. Arcade Heroes heard from Exa ...

Re: exA-Arcadia

Questions for Shou : Apparently, we got some conflicting messages going on in regard to player streaming: Exa Arcadia, as a platform, will allow players to upload their gameplay to streaming platforms like Twitch. Yet developers and publishers, not the platform holder, controls how streaming will be...

Re: exA-Arcadia

I like to ask about display port (multi-screen) support for Exa Arcadia motherboard: While it is taken for granted to work with only one screen per motherboard, with display splitters being commonplace for multi-link games, Does Exa Arcadia support multiple unique screens on a single motherboard (Da...

Re: exA-Arcadia

I have taken a look at the thread and elsewhere, and the "no recording / streaming" unless given explicit permission from game developer / publisher is still strongly a cultural relic in Japan's copyright system. The frequency of streaming games will vary in other countries. There has also been a bu...

Re: exA-Arcadia

I have this one weird question for Exa Arcadia: Does Exa Arcadia games require to go through ratings boards, or optionally support ratings like CERO, because I do not see any ratings for arcade games. We normally see CERO, ESRB, USK, and others for home and digital games. I wonder if other internati...

Re: exA-Arcadia

I think you guys will fall just short of the needed 100  This is another case where the art could just be made available to download? Someone like muddymusic could easily make a small print run of these. It's what, three stickers (left and right monitor surround, move strip) and the transluc...

Re: exA-Arcadia

As far as we know so far, EXA Arcadia launch games will begin as standard fare arcade games with single joystick and 3 buttons at minimum for basic input support. The lighting aspect is something quite excessive since it is meant to be placed in any cabinet that supports JVS. When EXA Arcadia begin...

Re: exA-Arcadia

my internet investigation alone. More specifically, I was surprised that there are not a lot of arcade machines with JVS IO boards in the arcades beyond Japan, but I do understand that has been subject of interest to the arcade home hobbyists so far, along with some operators that do have t...

Re: exA-Arcadia

the problem is that no other country besides Japan has experience with the JVS IO boards. That's not true. Arcade operators are very familiar with this. JVS has been well known since the late 90s. Tekken 3 came out it 1997 and that was already JVS compliant. Unless you run a Raw Thrills exclusive a...

Re: exA-Arcadia

Shou I have a question in regards to other custom IO board configuration. As noticed from the article in Arcade Heroes, Exa Arcadia works with any JVS boards, but the problem is that no other country besides Japan has experience with the JVS IO boards. I wonder if Exa Arcadia will support custom JA...

Re: exA-Arcadia

Strange that the contact on the nav top is missing. It's showing up for me? exa_ac_website.jpg Maybe they blocked it on your end? Did you send them a lot of emails? The contact page is always available even at the bottom page, but the contact tab is not. I used Mac OSX with Google Chrome, and I eve...

Re: exA-Arcadia

any news? Nothing yet... But I did discover WIP changes to anticipate US EU preorders coming soon. Strange that the contact on the nav top is missing. I decided to check out the Exa Arcadia website out of boredom until several changes were noticeable. https://i.postimg.cc/13QRH26j/Screen-Shot-2019-...

Re: Japan Times: Game not Over

Awesome article. I wish we had the same culture here in America. Minus Galloping Ghost, all of the Chicago arcades are just "barcades', with the same 10-20 games available. It's like everyone rushed out and bought a Pac-Man and Donkey Kong cab and that was the end of it I can tell you that some par...

Re: exA-Arcadia

I am completely okay with Exa being "Arcade Only" because we already have multiple consoles (Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch), mobile devices (iOS and Android), and PCs (Windows, Mac, Linux) that have common architecture and powers. I do not plan to buy the machine because it is out of my reach. Howe...

Re: exA-Arcadia

At least it is awesome to have the preorders page set up, and that should give great opportunities for organic growth and hype. I am impressed on the target prices for the products as they are somewhat close to the estimation from the interview article from shmup-em-all: http://shmupemall.com/interv...

Re: exA-Arcadia

Original Noir and Lindbergh cannot rotate normally. Most of the monitors are now in poor shape and they are 768p. As previously said, there are many revisions of monitors. In all of the Diamonds that we bought, it had much worse display lag than C or F. Also, you will need to take into account the ...

Re: exA-Arcadia

This week is GTI and TGS so not around to reply to everything. For the concerned topics: 1. 1st lot preorders from overseas will likely get the unit before the Japanese operators 2. It’s actually going to be sold less than the Japanese price for overseas buyers 3. Patches in this run are only handl...

Re: exA-Arcadia

What's the general consensus from the Aka to Blue location tests? Is Japan enjoying it? It has by far the most income out of any product in the standard cabinet category. We have beat Nesica, All Net, Gundam, Tekken and SF5 by wide margins every time. The final game pushes the hardware to the max a...
