Club Kart prize Naomi 2

I got a Club Kart Prize that i'm looking to play, it gets into the main menu of the game but doesn't seem to allow me to play.
I checked the input tests and all buttons seem to be working.

When I looked at a "rom board test" it tells me IC11 is not working.

Anyone got any ideas on this?

Re: Dreamcast VGA to New Astro City

Well, just for future reference if anyone comes across this thread, I connected the left and right audio and ground directly from the av cable to a stereo phono wire and connected it to a speaker that has a stereo jack input. Works like a charm temporarily until I put an audio amp into my Astro city.

Re: Dreamcast VGA to New Astro City

Well, I think i've done it! We have picture!
Now to try and get the sound going, can I just solder the Left audio directly from the dreamcast AV wire to Speaker + on the jamma harness?

Re: Dreamcast VGA to New Astro City

So has anyone connected a dreamcast with scart or the VGA to a 15khz?
I've been trying today following this http://pc2jamma.mameworld.info/arc_dc1.html and pulling my damn hair out.

Re: Dreamcast VGA to New Astro City

Yeah, I am trying to avoid spending £100 for my dreamcast as I am stone broke.
I have already spoke to this guy though and in a few months will get one. However I wanted to see If i could get this done without spending so much.

I just cannot afford this hobby lol.

Re: Dreamcast VGA to New Astro City

That guy is using an amp, yes.
But the original guide he follows, here: http://arcadecontrols.com/arcade_consol ... #dc2arcade

doesn't mention an amp.

Re: Dreamcast VGA to New Astro City

The inputs I am not worried about for now, I will hack a controller once I have the audio and video working. Following the scart guide and the vga box guide it says you can just combine the v and h sync wires by tying them together and attaching to the sync on the Jamma loom. Scart method http://pc2...

Dreamcast VGA to New Astro City

So i've been looking at these 15khz mods and none of the boxes look like the VGA one I have. What would happen if I took the RGB, Vsync and H Sync directly from the wires from the dreamcast (as they are labeled in the VGA box) and soldered to a jamma biscuit? I think this box has a 15khz switch buil...

Re: Dodgy MVS wiring.

Image

Guess the only way to get sound is with the cable, i tried on the exposed area and sound is exactly the same as when attached to the back. Looks like I will need to buy a less messed up MVS board.

Re: Dodgy MVS wiring.

Ok so get this. At further inspection of the board the trace from pin 10 has been removed all the way to the white line. (this is not mine but the exact model i have, you can see the trace for pin 10). https://retrogamingstuff.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/img_0939.jpg I'm going to attempt to connect ...

Re: Dodgy MVS wiring.

Well, it seems sound + and sound - are connected to the pins you mention. The white cable seems to be spliced onto the sound +.

And I don’t really want to keep it like this, but if the sound works.... the question is what damage could this potentially cause.

Re: Dodgy MVS wiring.

The problem is, if I remove the wire, I no longer have audio. The wire seems to be hacked onto the jamma audio wire, without it all sound stops. Could it be bypassing something faulty on the MVS board? Just trying to work out what the point of it is and how I can get audio if I remove it.

Dodgy MVS wiring.

So my astro city came with an MVS 1 slot inside, whoever previously had the cab has hacked some of the strangest wiring into it. I've managed to revert a lot of the hack jobs but this one on the MVS motherboard I have left for now as when I remove the wire it has no sound. What the heck is this? And...

I wouldn't mind knowing the answer to this, mine has a very similar issue although mine is more vertical shifting than horizontal!

Re: New Astro City Joystick mounting

Well i really screwed this up. that image was just an example, I didn't actually have a plate I just had those 2 brackets on my control panel. Now my bits have arrived and I actually DO have that plate on the sanwa sticks which is not only the wrong size to mount to those brackets, even if it did it...
