Re: Taito JVS I/O Group Order (Europe)

I was very happy to learn a few things from this thread. It's nice to see people work together for the enjoyment of arcades.

Re: Removing the smoke smell?

Strip the machine down fully. Take it in to your garden and spray it inside and out worn a bathroom/kitchen spray that contains a bit of bleach. Give it a scrub and then hose it down. Leave to drip dry and then reassemble ;-) https://www.hasntfiguredouthowtoembedyoutubeproperly.com/watch?v=TC2OKcHA...

Re: Removing the smoke smell?

Okay, so it really must be vastly improved with a good wipedown inside and out. Thanks!

Removing the smoke smell?

So I want to get a Japanese machine, but supposedly they smell like smoke. (which would not fly around here, because people are super sensitive to that) Has anyone had good luck removing that smoke smell from candy cabs? If so, how? (Note: Prefer to avoid super toxic "scent maskers" like Febreeze, a...

Re: Best affordable Vewlix clones in USA?

:( It's important to be patient. Patience is important. (Toward achievable goals.) Very true. I was actually willing to wait weeks or months if it seemed like sub $2K HD cab were a thing, and I searched hard and found nothing supporting that. Searched every resource I could find, and all seemed to ...

Re: Best affordable Vewlix clones in USA?

There's an importer, KC, selling a Vewlix F cab for 1700 (maybe it was 1800, but I think 1700) out of LA. Depending on your luck with shippers 300 might get it to you from here. If you decide you want his info, let me know and I'll pass it on. With how much they've come down in price (I paid 2300 f...

Re: Best affordable Vewlix clones in USA?

Unless you find a vewlix L with one of the laggy monitors, you are going to have a hard time finding one on that budget. Most HD cabs costs a pretty penny- you might want to save up some more and just get a Vewlix. I have a Diamond and an F and I love them. YMMV on those clone vewlixes- I've played...

Best affordable Vewlix clones in USA?

I'll get right to the point. I seek a quality Vewlix cab at an affordable price. (Or whatever HD clone is cheapest, but still very authentic and solid. Namco Noir, Lindbergh, etc. Vewlix preferred if others aren't cheaper.) The target is under or around 2K shipped, if possible. :problem: Looking for...

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Just a lost Texas beardo hungry to find my first arcade machine. Specifically dreaming of an LCD candy cab (Namco Blanc, Lindbergh, cheap Vewlix, etc.) A humble corner of arcade bliss. My dream. Very much hoping to find guidance on that, plus maybe meet some like minded arcade geeks along the way. I...
