Re: SNES FLASH CART

£3 expensive? that made me laugh  , to buy snes original imports back in the early 90's was about £50 - £100 if you could get to the import shops before they had sold out. £3 for a 25pence floppy = expensive. Around here it was £1 per disk (boot sales or a few FLT members who ran a bbs and sol...

Re: SNES FLASH CART

Are they really?!?! I bought my Super Wild Card DX2 directly from them back in 2000 or so. Damn thing took me FOREVER to gather the funds on a 16 year old's paper route salary haha. Do you have the URL for the website? You need to contact Meng-Ming Liu at ffe@ms3.hinet.net (the website is http://ww...

Re: WHY ?

My experience with MS (for other people) has been awful - one of the worst console companies to deal with.

Nintendo (actually codestorm) are about the best I've dealt with. Sony were so-so about ten years ago, no idea about now.

Re: Emulators on the PSP

CPS1/2 and MVS are great - snes is quite poor imo, as is mame. PSX emulation is fantastic however. I wouldn't put money on it being hacked too soon - the latest revision of the slim and lite/psp2000 has been available for a few months and still can't be used with a pandora battery. custom firmware M...

Then where do you stop? Theres nothing I can do to stop people buying **** Chinese bootlegs if they want to. But if someone starts selling Phoenix ROMs they flashed themelves at the expense of a pilar of the community on here I can do something about that. Personally I don't see a difference betwee...

That particular app requires windows, but if you are a linux user you don't even need soft15khz, changing res/refresh to a custom one is trivial.

I suppose if you are running OSX you may need an arcadevga - but do they even supply OSX drivers?

Re: NeoGeo emulation

Other expenses you will incur would be an Arcade VGA or use soft15khz with your current videocard (if it's supported, most modern cards are and loads of older cards). If you are building a pc just for it then it's cheaper to buy a £10 soft15khz supported card than £60 or whatever an arcadevga costs.

Re: The All New "What Games Are You Playing?" Thread

Well right now playing Hyper Bishi Bashi and Powerstone on the cabs. Just got Powerstone last week and I'm amazed at just how addictive that game is. :) I'm currently playing Powerstone/Powerstone 2 too (although on the DC). Amazing game, best thing capcom have published in years. Dynamite Cop on t...

LOL! its a small world after all. I recon i will likely know you from out and about If you used to hang around quiggins and such. How old are you dude? I'm 30 but I didn't hang around there much though - I always preferred manchester, leeds and sheffield when I was younger. The missus was a proper ...

Re: Have you ever thought of quitting your job and…

I did look in to quiggins as an option. Its the cheapest by far. I know a guy who is very good friends with the guy who owns the place. Unfortunately whenever ive gone in to the "new" quiggins its been pretty empty even on a Saturday nothing like the old place which was heaving from 3PM up until cl...

Re: Have you ever thought of quitting your job and…

The rent in Liverpool is some of the most expensive in the country compared to the number of people there. not to mention the rates which are highway robery. And greater merseyside in general. The prices landlords want are a joke. rates is a lot more reasonable - I've certainly seen worse in that r...

Re: Have you ever thought of quitting your job and…

right now Liverpool would not be the perfect place for one. Far from perfect, but in grand central near the milkshake bar (next to the gardens) could just about make money though. ~1000 emo/goth/gegger/punks passing through every saturday, at least 100 of which seem to hang around the gardens all d...

hehe, no woman in any country can cook anything properly.

dont know why everyone thinks the 360 will go into the ring of death. Probably because the vast majority do. Mine is still working OK, but then I never even took it out of the box for the first 18months I owned it (little worth playing) and for the past 7months or so that I have been using it it se...

I was thinking of that, but the prices I've seen them go for is ridiculous for the size of em. I considered one of those FOBT terminals too, but touch screen = manky.
