Re: It's for free!

Moving somewhere smaller next weekend, so and won't have anywhere to store this stuff. Happy for anybody to collect from Redhill, Surrey before I move, or if anybody really wants something I can take it with me to Guildford, but I don't want to have any of it hanging around for too long (don't reall...

Re: GB Tetris

I'll beat you yet! It only took me a year and a half to double my score, another two years and I'll be on top!

Re: GB Tetris

After over a year of trying and failing to get a somewhat respectable score, I've at least managed to get one which I don't need to be completely ashamed of even if it does put me firmly at the bottom! 106 :P. It was on a GBA though, maybe I'd have got slightly higher on a normal one.

Mushiking Monitor

Very slowly trying to wire this up to play JAMMA games :P. It has a 14VC21S monitor as they all do, and it seems to have both hsync and vsync signals going into it from the VGA connector. Does anybody know if I need to find a way to split the csync a JAMMA board outputs, or can I just send it down o...

Re: What do I need to mount a stick in this?

What exactly do all the letters in the part numbers for Sanwa controls mean? There seems to be JLF-TP-8YT, JLF-TP-8Y-SK, JLF-TP-8Y, and JLF-TP-8S. 8YT, 8Y and 8S seem to refer to the type (or lack of) mounting plate, but what is the SK about? It seems from the pictures that I would need one of the 8...

What do I need to mount a stick in this?

Hi,

Does anybody know what stick/plate combo would let me have something decent in this panel I have for a Mushiking cab? The screws are 66mm apart (centre to centre), and are about 3mm in diameter (~20mm tall).

Thanks

Re: where to get a candy cab?

I might be willing to part with the New Astro I got off tetsujin a few weeks back, but it depends on your definition of 'extremely cheap'.

New Astro City screws

Since I will be getting a New Astro City soon, I thought I'd better just check this now. What screws does it use? I might need to dismantle it a bit to get it in the house, and it'd probably be best if I made sure I could do so before it actually arrived!

I was going to pre-order one, but now I see the premium Play-Asia is charging, I'll wait.

Yeah, it is a real pain. The forums are running slow. Craig being a complete and utter **** at the moment doesn't exactly make me very tolerant of it either ;).

Re: SNES FLASH CART

Nobody makes them anymore. Tototek did until fairly recently, maybe they will make another batch sometime? Neo Flash was on about making one, but it never actually happened. Your best bet would be to keep an eye on eBay for a floppy copier, or Tototek also stock them. http://www.tototek.com/"

Re: GP2X Wiz

Well after many people complained to GPH, the German distributor confronted them in person about it and they are now planning to change the right hand pad to standard controls. So good news there! Sadly a month delay while they retool, but better than having a crippled system. In other news, I have ...

Strange, I saw the opposite a few weeks ago in the arcade on Poole quay. The place is mostly packed with fruit machines now, but even though it was full of people, there were only queues to go on the shooting games (nobody at all was on the slots) :S.

Re: My 988 chassis is dead again...

Well I e-mailed Grandata to see if they had just forgotten to list them on their new site and they had, so I will order them from there and see if it works again with the real part (the only down side I am going to have to buy 7 of them to meet the new minimum order) :D. I did look on dalbani.co.uk ...

Rom Check Fail

A nice little homebrew game I came across the other day. It is like Wario Ware in that the gameplay changes very quickly but instead of having lots of mini games, it flashes you through various classic video games jumbled up. You can end up playing Mario, trying to jump on Pang! balls which are boun...

Re: GP2X Wiz

I have lots of information - I don't know how much you are interested in though :D. As the specs say, it has a 533MHz ARM926 (ARMv5) CPU core, 64MB RAM (split 48:16 - Linux:Video&Sound hardware) and a 2.8" OLED touchscreen, which is really good quality. The action buttons are an actual d-pad, which ...
